Obras Sanitarias fires Dan Fitzgerald

Argentinian team Obras Sanitarias has fired Dan Fitzgerald (206 cm, Marquette'08) due to a disappointing performances in the 8 games he played so far (6.4 ppg and 2.6 rpg). Globetrotter Fitzgerald played in the Japanese BJ League last season and played in various other leagues around the world before that.

Knowing how some South Americans react to disappointing performances by their sports stars, it coukld have ended a lot worse.

There are so many jokes I want to make right now.  I'll spare everyone of them all.  Anyway, best of luck to Dan on finding another opportunity.

I think it is interesting that they "fire" players there.  And that he played in the "Japanese BJ League."
