Happy to admit that I was wrong when I said last spring that I doubted Jae Crowder could play in the NBA. His 21-point, 9-rebound performance in the Mavs' most recent game was just the latest evidence. The coach, Rick Carlisle, has been saying for months that he loves Jae.
Jae is undersized and isn't super quick, but the man just knows how to play basketball. I'm embarrassed that I underestimated him.
Now, DJO ... there's a much better example of an outstanding college player who doesn't quite have NBA skills and/or body type. Same with Jerel McNeal. As much as we want all of them to make it, they can't!
Yep.... Jae could have a long and productive NBA career similar to Wesley's. Not an All Star but a solid NBA player.
Great to see.
1-6 from the 3pt line won't cut it for him...but he'll improve from that range, and it certainly seems like he's going to have a career in the league.
