JaJuan Johnson: Breaking down his choices
Written by: Mark Strotman
JaJuan Johnson, Marquette's top priority at shooting guard in the 2013 recruiting class, is nearing a decision. The top-60 recruit is an athletic slasher with the ability to shoot from the perimeter with loads of potential as he enters his ... This article is a very nice summation of the various recent articles out there concerning JaJuan's recruitment - probably the most timely topic at this point in the year.
I seldom see mentioned the advantage Marquette has of having an NBA team in town whose players MU players can play pickup games against in the off season. Can anyone tell me if that's still the case?
Although, Mark's article points out that academic fit will be the leading criteria for JaJuan and his mother, it doesn't really address that topic. Does anyone know how Miami and Alabama are doing at graduating their basketball players?
At Miami, Murray, you graduate if you know the difference between 480cc and 360cc at South Beach. Different at Bama, where all that's needed is to be able the chant "Roll Tide" and not marry your cousin.
Acadmeic fit could also refer to majors are offered.

Once in a blue moon we lose somebody because we don't offer his preferred course of study (Landry to UW to study culinary arts). And IIRC, Landry wasn't so interested in that field that he didn't end up academically ineligible for a time.

Mike Wilkinson, too (he chose UW because it had an agricultural business program).
My gut feeling is he ends up at Alabama.

Forgot about him. Boy, would he have looked good in blue and gold.
Lenny's got it. No way that guy goes to MU. Wishing it won't make it so.
So this looks like a long shot, what are our chances with Embiid? do you have any chance of landing him, or will he go to a "blue Blood" school?

I'm assuming that that area would have been covered before JaJuan decided to make an official visit.

Of course it is.
