I'm so glad that Lazar was declared eligible and that his academic record was acceptable to the NCAA. I'm especially happy that LH didn't miss any games. It appears that the NCAA is still not finished with some cases. Hopefully all of the players who truly meet the requirements have had their cases resolved and are playing games.
"Charlotte freshman center Phil Jones was declared ineligible by the NCAA on Friday following a review of his academic records.
The 6-foot-10 Jones enrolled at the school in late August, after classes had begun. He was allowed to practice with the team while the review took place, but was unable to play in the 49ers' exhibition game and their two regular-season games so far.
Jones, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., attended several different prep schools. Last season he averaged 19 points and 10.2 rebounds at Laurinburg Prep. A year earlier he played at Lutheran School in Philadelphia."
