I'm seriously considering driving up from the Chicago area for MM. Can anyone tell me where I can park? The last MM I attended was at the MECCA, I think, so I'm out of touch.
I'd suggest leavin' the POS car at the Ryan Rd. Park N' Ride, then stickin' your thumb out on the I-94 onramp, and just maybe some little old lady drivin' a Buick will have pity on your butt and drop you off on 19th and Wells.
Basically street parking..but there is a lot kitty corner from the Al..they usually charge just a couple of bucks.

There is a big University-owned parking garage across Wells Street from the Al.
15th north of State has good parking.
The surface lot on 12th Street is generally open in the evening, too. The Al has great parking options nearby.
You may even be able to find a street spot along 14th St....Kilbourn...somewhere in that area. Even the big visitors garage on 16th isn't that far.
1) MU surface lot on 12th across from the AL.
2) MU structure on Wells just east of 13th.
3) Surface street parking. (I think the parking meters 'go dark' at 6p.)
4) MU structure on 16th between Wisconsin and Wells.
Have fun!
I bring my two sons up every year from Chicago, and we've always been able to park right along Wells by the Union.
26th and State

I very much appreciate the opportunity to educate myself concerning the meaning of the POS acronym. What time will your wife be driving up I-90?
Everyone else thanks for the great ideas, except reinko.
27th & Wisconsin, i heard there's a nice Mobil Gas station you can park at.

That way I avoid getting tannery smell on my car.

My son got married at Gesu summer of 2010. Invited my good friend who lives in the Cork Town neighborhood of Detroit, very close to Tiger Stadium. Let's just say he's seen it all. (He's also one of the few "traditional" teachers in the Detroit Public School System).
So he stops for gas at the Mobil station on 27th & Wisconsin after the early afternoon Saturday wedding. Tells me at the reception that he was never as frightened anywhere in Detroit as he was at that station.

Been that way for awhile. They are converting the meters to the "pay at the box" system.
Stick a crowbar in your wallet and pay the three bucks at the parking garage.

C'mon, where's that southern charm?
Laughing so hard they're hearing me in Milwaukee (from the South Tower of the Mercantile Exchange Center in downtown Chicago)
Parking's plentiful on 12th and Vliet. Not a bad walk tonight.
its Milwaukee... there's parking everywhere...
just don't park in the ghetto.
