I think the Magic gave TC a qualifying offer (something like that) which effectively makes him a restricted free agent.....now the Magic get the right to match any offer TD receives from another team. Looks like he'll get paid again this year
He's not on the summer league team for Orlando, which is bad for him.
Orlando has exercised its right to match any offer Diener gets, but it may have to renounce that right in order to execute the Rashard Lewis deal.
I don't think Diener's future will be determined for a while. A lot of contingencies still need to shake out. Maybe he can be a piece of a sign-and-trade to Seattle for Lewis. Wouldn't be a bad team to join right now.
I really want Diener out of Orlando. The only reason to keep him there is that he's got some bigs to work with. Other than that, it's still PG logjam.
I was hoping to see his name in the Summer League rosters BUT only Novak is playing (today's his first game).

Looks like there may a sign-and-trade in store. Seattle, where TD would back up Ridenhour, would be a good fit.

Salary cap for 2007-08 season set at $55,630,000

The salary cap for the 2007-08 NBA season will be set at $55,630,000, ESPN.com has learned.
The number was reached after an audit of league finances and was set late Tuesday night by the players association and the league office. It will be the number teams use beginning Wednesday when a 10-day moratorium on free agent signing ends.
The mid-level exception for over-the-cap teams is $5,356,000, and the luxury tax threshold will be $67,865,000.
The salary cap numbers mean that free agent Rashard Lewis of Seattle will get a $90.764 million deal from the Orlando Magic if he signs with them for five years.
If, however, the Seattle SuperSonics and Magic can agree to a sign-and-trade deal, Lewis would get a six-year pact.
Florida Today's John Denton is reporting that Orlando has indeed agreed to a sign-and-trade deal with the Sonics that will allow Lewis to make $126.4 million over the next six seasons, according to NBA sources who requested anonymity. The Magic will send back a second-round pick to the Sonics.

But no Diener...
Why don't the Bucks make Travis an offer? They could definitely use some help at the point...especially if Mo Williams signs with Miami as expected.

I agree.
The kid isn't big, but has played well when given minutes. Offensively there is no doubt in my mind that Travis can hold his own in the NBA. I guess teams are still not sold on his defense.
I think he could be a nice 10-15min per game player. You know you are going to get good offensive output from him, and he will work hard and fit in the correct defensive scheme.

Phoenix is absolutely perfect for him, its not like Nash plays any defense either. This is exactly why I don't think it will happen, makes too much sense. However, I'm hoping that Kerr is the awesome GM that everyone thinks he will be.

Outlaw, 36, played for the Magic for the past three seasons, returning to the club in 2005 after playing in Orlando from 1997-2002. A fan favorite, Outlaw played in just 41 games last season, averaging 2.0 points and 2.6 rebounds.
