How is that even possible.
Dont know. A student told me that. Either there was a system error or something. But they could not access the web page this afternoon.

that should prevent threads like last seaon's lamenting poor student turnout

The only thing that will prevent that is the students actually dragging their lazy butts down to the BC on a regular basis.

At some point, don't you have to let go of jr.'s hand and trust that he'll learn how to get sufficiently sauced for an 11:00 a.m. tip on his own?
Maybe helped as in springin' the scheckles?

He just wanted the credit card # Benny. It's our traditional Frosh gift.
Apology accepted.

Trust me, he'll have that 16 digit number memorized by mid-terms.

That is a stupid assumption to make. Maybe they couldn't access the system because 4,000 kids were trying to at the same time. Even if it was sold out, they don't shut down the entire system when the last ticket goes.
The system crashes every year the day the tickets come on sale, the tickets wont sell out. They never have.
Ticket folks tell me just over 2,000 #mubb student season tickets purchased yesterday. Keep it rolling. #fanatics
Little Goose got his.

True, happens every year at least since my son's freshman year. On the low student turnout too many labs at night conflicting with basketball schedule, at least for Elect. Eng. students. Son had to miss 3 games due to the labs.Guess he's got different priorities than I did '79-'83 LOL!

just remember who's idea it was to go to general admission for students.
The EE labs are at night now? That's terrible. I used to schedule all labs (bio, chem, orgo, EE, and BE) at 8am if possible just so they'd be out of the way. Or are there that many EE students now that they had to create night sections?

Yeah, and it was a very smart decision. IMO has lead to a better student atmosphere at the games.

Great decision. Takes all the seatmate politics out. So when a dorm floor starts to clear and head down, everyone is welcome and part of the group. No angst at all.
Can't speculate as to the cost but wouldn't it be cool if we could raise enough money at 'scoop to sponsor a T-shirt night?

I wasnt bashing the decision, just the constant reminders of who's brainchild it was.

Just googled this very thing...buying 10,000 XL gold t-shirts with some writing on them through InstaShirt.com would cost $36,000. And that won't even cover every seat in the BC if we were trying to do a gold-out. As much as I'd love to see it, I'm guessing that's a bit more than we could raise here on Scoop.

You'd be able to do to the whole BC for about $20,000. At least that's what it was back in 2004-2008.
I was actually just talking about the students. So that's probably 3000 max. In my mind, the university should pay for a full BC 'gold out'.
