Title: Vander = most improved?

I think a bunch of us would be happy to see his shot improved.  It's good anytime a player improves, but this seems like really good news, imo.  Of course, we will see how true it is in a few months.

The good news is that he doesn't need to shoot 40% to be effective.

Realistically, he needs to shoot around 30%, and take it with decent frequency (maybe 20 for 60 on the year).

If he can do that, I think a lot of things will open up for him.

There are open 3pters available in Buzz offense.

I got my ticket reorder packet today from UW Green Bay. They enclosed a short description of each opponent with an opposing player to watch. Gardner was the player Wardle hilighted.

I sure hope so.

Vander is probably Buzz's highest rated recruit yet. If Vander can become a thoroughbred here at Marquette, it paves the way for other four and five star recruits to come here.

Much as George Thompson beget Dean Meminger who beget Marcus Washington, Jim Chones and Maurice Lucas who beget Butch and Bo, Vander's development into a great ballplayer who can join the iikes of our NBA players speaks well to our program and what Buzz is doing.

We know Buzz has done well with Lazar, Darius, Jae et al. Vander's growth underscores the fact we have something special going on here.
