Title: TV help
Post by: harryp on August 26, 2012, 03:24:32 PM
I live in AZ and have DirecTV.  I subscribe to "Total Choice", "HBO and Sports", and "ESPN Full Court".  It's getting expensive.  Do I need all these to watch all the MU games?

You may want to pm Chicos. He'll give you the skinny on all of it.

But offer him a beer first.

Unil the season TV schedules are announced, it's impossible to know. Generally speaking, a combination of a package including ESPNU and ESPN-FC will maximize the number of games you can get, but that's if money is no object.

The Sports Pack, around $12 a month will usually get you 90% of the games, have had DirecTV for 5 years, never ordered ESPN FC.  PM, for any more questions.

Ditto what Reinko said. Basic package plus Sports Pack will get you almost every game, and the ones you'll miss will be ones most of us don't care as much about against the Cowboys in November and December.

I used to get ESPN Full Court, but with SNY carrying just about every televised MU game that isn't on another network already I stopped getting it.  Seems like I lose no more than 1 or 2 games a year by not having ESPN FC, and usually they are cupcakes anyway.   Since the football package doesn't interest me, I got rid of DirecTV for the cable TV/intenet/phone bundle as soon as the NCAA tournament became available without DirecTV.

And more games in HD on Sports Pack.  I had full court and found it to be a rip off.
