Wow. What an article. On so many levels.
Thanks for sharing.
Great read. I really hope everyone in Warrior nation has a better appreciation for the man Rick is. I have seen him in action when a friend needs help and he is second to none. His support of family and friends is something to admired and copied by everyone.
I hope he pulls through. But I can imagine that the loss of his mother really affected him.
Does anyone have an update?
Situation remains the same. Rick is CA and awaiting the care needed. This fan has him his prayers everyday. He played a major role in MU basketball history and big role in my life.
Ironically, a little information in today's St. Louis Post-Dispatch--same writer.

Wow, incredible article. No mention of Rick crapping in a towel. Covered everything else though.
From a bball perspective, imagine coaching with Al and Hank as mentors. John effin Wooden used to call Hank for advice.
Couple that with his hardscabble up bringing from the old man, and an angel for a mother.
I remember Rick at Al's run in late 1980's something. Rick had thighs as big as fire hydrandants. Dude was intense back then . That was the year Al told the crowd at the summerfest grounds that he had eaten a bad apple the week before and crapped his shorts during the race. Can't make that sh1t up.
DeCourcy is saying that Majerus will not be able to continue his coaching career in the "near future."

Other tweets have suggested things are not good.
My friends are also saying it does not look good.

Let's pray that Rick regain sufficient health to enjoy some good retirement years. I think we'd all be thrilled to have him attend a Marquette game or two, perhaps as part of a '77 reunion or a Heart Association charity fundraiser. Get well coach.

Great piece on Rick. I think it really summed up the man perfectly. He is one of a kind.
Another good take.
