I know this has been discussed on this board, yet I have not seen anything recently regarding this game. Last I read, the agreement between both schools was pending. Has anyone heard if this game is going to happen for sure. Sorry if I missed this in the other thread. Thanks.
Still being played.
November 9th, season opener.
I think the official announcement is with the game organizers not MU, pending final details and logistics (network, gametime, tickets, armed services, etc,). The MU's announcement isn't MU's to make although it is on.
To go along with Blackheart's comment that it isn't MU's annoucement to make, the carrier and the company running these carrier games are probably still in the process of looking for a sponsor and making a schedule with other carrier games etc. Once that is all figured out, you'll hear the official annoucement.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't MU already announce this weeks ago? I recall tOSU being the first non-con game they announced.

I thought there was an announcement, too. But going back through the archive, I can't find one.
However, I wouldn't be too concerned, the official announcement hasn't been made by the organizers or tOSU either. The first mention of any of this was from Andy Katz, who probably only heard about it (and
reported leaked it) because the game organizers had contacted ESPN regarding televising the game.
In other words, the official announcement is being embargoed for the aforementioned reasons. The only reason that any of us know about it already is because Katz flapped his mouth.
Actually Mike Broeker announced it via twitter a while ago.
Here's the AP announcement from today... Nice that Marquette takes 4th billing after OSU, the ship, and the women's matchup...

Well hopefully the Marquette men and ND women each knock off OSU. Potential headline:
Big East Sinks Big Ten
In addition to the national exposure from this game, this is a great opportunity for us. OSU will be good this year but the fact that it is the first game of the season in an unusual environment might level the playing field.

A serious reality check. Whenever I get too full of myself as an MU alum/fan, something like this brings me back to earth. The question posed by this thread was "Are we playing Ohio State or not?" Unfortunately, you can't find the answer unless you really dig into this article.
