I'm not sure of the quality of this, but it looks pretty sweet! Not bad at all for $25. Here is the ebay link I bought it from. It looks like a company out of Minneapolis makes them. My Wife is going to love it!

Love it. Got one myself. If it sucks I'll blame you.
I have one of these hanging up in my hallway. It is pretty sweet and definitely worth the money.
Hmmmm, where to hang it? ?-( This is actually a good problem to have! 8-)
Not sure if we have any scoopers who can tell me this for certain - is the Warrior logo correct for 1977? I don't think it is, but I may be wrong.

No, The logo on the banner was introduced with the First Warrior, an idea worse than Bricky.

that logo looks pretty 80ish to me. Reminds me of the Tom Copa, Marc Marotta Warriors not the Bo Ellis, Butch Lee Warriors
Here is the banner I have. The wife let me hang it in the living room only after it was framed. It probably helps that she is a MU grad.
Love to point it out to my UNC friend.
Be careful and read the banners carefully. That banner looks like the corrected one. There were some that hit eBay a year or two ago and Al's name was misspelled as "McGwire", I believe.
They have 14 days money back, so I'm fine with it. The logo looks pretty sweet to me. 8-)
I'm in. And I'm in Minneapolis so I'll crack some skulls if it sucks.

The one from a few years ago was spelled Maguire.

That looks awesome. And I love the magazine and painting, too!
That does look pretty cool. I think you need to repaint that wall though; it's kinda clashy with the banner.

I'm glad my wife didn't say that.
They misspelled Marquette...it has one "t"!
/made you look :p
Now if I could just find a good photo of Al McGuire flipping off the Rodent crowd at the old Fieldhouse in Madison.
While the banner is undeniably cool, the warrior is incorrect. The 'first' warrior was introduced after Al retired. The actual banner would have had Willie Wampum on it.

You're late to the game augoman, but further peer pressure is always helpful.

ahhh, mea culpa.
thanks for the heads-up!! just bought one for my office-cool!!
Anachronisms aside... how is the quality? It says wool felt... is it the "thick stuff" or the stuff you could rip/stretch with your hands? Is the lettering stitched or hot-glued?
And I assume this is indoor-use only, no (i.e. no hanging outside where the rodents can see it)?

The quality is solid. It's probably in between wool felt and the kind you can rip with your hands. It pretty nice material. Sewing around the edges, but the rest is glued on or something. Indoor use only. It looks good, see my photo above.
ya want something for outside? i got one of these for my place in arizona-she's a beauty. i will not put it up on a flag pole though, the wind will beat the schmit out of it eventually
