Mu bball has no grade point average. All courses, incomplete.
You can't really judge an offseason until 5 years have passed.

Can you make "whoops" an option? It seems that MU is having to react to two situations (with Mayo and now TJ) that had unexpectedly(?) come up.
For a positive don't forget about the McKay commitment.
For a open to opinion don't forget dumping Durley. Personally, I think that letting Durley go was a positive. Address a mistake as soon as you can.
Mixed bag. Getting Wilson is huge, but losing TJ hurts our depth and if we don't have Mayo back, this team could really struggle in 2012-13 now. Chew was a great hire, but don't forget we also lost Benford, so the new guys definitely have some big shoes to fill.
A+....as an occassional poster but a frequent visitor....this offseason is off the charts successful in that it gave this board the most deliciously entertaining and amusing threads one could ever hope for to pass along the time until the gents hit the hardwood again.
Forgot Con: "Coach thinking about leaving us for a second tier CUSA school".

Makes it ineligible even by the pre SP/LW standards.

I can. It's been a disaster. Buzz almost leaving, mayo likely gone, Taylor gone, and Scott christopherson on a NBA Summer Roster.

Ask some posters here, they'll tell you Buzz was never close to leaving since it never happened or some other backwards logic.

There's also Penn St fans that think Paterno did no wrong. Athletics is weird like that.
I think some rich alum should donate an animatronic "Dancing Buzz" statue to MU that will be conspicuously located on campus. Then the offseason would truly be complete.

aka ... Hiroshima
I don't see how Jamail Jones leaving could be viewed as anything but a negative. On the other hand, getting the aircraft carrier game against Ohio State was a pleasant surprise. I voted C.

Jones never played. Him leaving at least frees up the scholarship to be used on someone who may contribute outside of practice. There is your positive spin.

By that logic I guess you are hoping Buzz can find a way to get rid of Juan Anderson and Derrick Wilson too? I don't see us filling our open spots with anyone who would make more of a contribution this season than Jones.
How does anyone grade above a "C"?
Our coach was steps away from leaving for the dregs of Division I with SMU. We spent weeks on this forum circle-jerking over the tension between our HC and AD. The clownish Durley situation, the Mayo drama, and now the Taylor gallivant. Lost 3/4 of the coaching staff.
Some really nice things have occurred with Buzz staying, excellent recruits for 2013, Trent Lockett, Chew & Wainwright. But, at best, these cancel out for a solidly mediocre and "C" ridden summer.
If Mayo leaves I'd change my vote to D.

No. That isn't my logic, that is you presupposing from a statement I made.
Jones was going to be a Junior who hadn't contributed much his first two years.
Wilson and Juan were both freshman last year and Juan missed a good portion of the year with an injury and suspension.
Jones clearly wasn't working out, but you seem to think that I'm saying something else... like its good if everyone who doesn't contribute for a year should just transfer. That isn't at all what I am saying.
Context is important... I was looking for the silver lining.
I think Derrik Wilson will be the most improved returning player on the team this year.

If Jamil Wilson wasn't on the team, I would agree probably, and Juan will be close behind.

Solid analysis, Lanche.
Getting Lockett (I live in pac 12 land, the kid is a stud) and the positive buzz on future recruiting make the off season a B. All the other stuff is typical of the drama that surrounds any high major D1 program.
You have to put this off season in the context of the usual MU summertime experience.
Lanche
Perfectly stated.
