Game-by-game score projections say losing Mayo could cost MU win over UNC, ranking, and trip to BE title game and Sweet 16

Value Add projects three MU players will be more valuable than Todd Mayo next year, the game-by-game projections with and without him indicates if he leaves the program it could be a huge blow...

MU would miss Todd's points and defense, no question about that as MU has the chance to be very, very good. To balance this, think about his though:  MU will start four academic seniors or above and a junior.  That is a ton of experience.  Even if in good graces, Todd may not have started. MU will miss his scoring for sure and could be Top 10 with him if the pieces come together under Buzz's coaching. TJ Taylor would have to step up big to fill the point void off the bench.

Dunn is out five months if not the season with shoulder surgery at Providence, and Ledo is not in summer school and it is questionable if he gets by the Clearinghouse.

I thought we weren't playing UWM this year because of the Carrier Classic?

Thx, particularly on providence, because if everyone they have signed played, the could literally be right behind lville in the big east.

I reluctantly concur with Cracked Sidewalks on this one. My view is that Todd Mayo is the catalyst that makes the team great. He's the only real returning offensive threat we have, unless Vander Blue discovers a shot. Even if he does not start, I see Todd with 12 points a game and a "Super Sixth Man," perhaps the best in the Big East.

Can we replace that? I suppose, but we go from being a real threat to go deep into the NCAA to a real candidate for a "one-and-done" appearance. Yuck!

My hope, as both a Golden Eagle fan and someone who simply cares, is that Todd and Buzz and the University work this one out. I look forward to seeing Todd in an MU uniform for up to three more years.

Thanks, and while appreciate our agreement on Todd, I would defer in that I believe Davante will be a phenomenal offensive player who Junior will be feeding very well.

As always Bama, great info.. Do you know where I could find the Big East Returning Minutes percentages for next year?  Usually Villanova By the Numbers does it, but it appears they are on sabbatical.
