McNeal was 2nd team All-American that year, honestly only Wade and Crowder were at that level. DJ had a great frosh campaign, but no contest here.

Were are McNeal's season stats?
"The senior's Second Team All-American season was slightly overshadowed by the other two of the 'Big Three' and Lazar Hayward, but McNeal was superb."
You're not really saying that McNeal's season was only the fourth best by a Marquette player that year are you?

Nope. Just that some people miss how really good McNeal was because of the support around him.

I totally agree that, looking back, it's really easy to talk about Matthews and Hayward because of what they've done after college. McNeal's toro defense on one critical in the tourney overshadows how good he really was the rest of the time, at least for me.
