If one thing is clear from this past weekend, it's that these are more than just pick-up games. Players are getting after it, and many of the games were close late into the fourth quarter. As expected, Marquette players stole ... Continue reading → (http://painttouches.com/2012/07/08/milwaukee-pro-am-recap-76-77/)

Mayo is in South Africa??
not sure about the second half of saturday's game...but in the first half i lost count of how many 3's jake thomas put through the hoop. he has to make the team better in practice...will be interesting to see if buzz has any use for him next year.

I also lost count of how many times his dribble-drives ended up with him in the air and nobody to pass to so he'd turn it over. He has a sweet shot, but he's not very athletic nor did he make very good decisions when he had the ball in his hands.
That being said, even a 1-trick pony has its uses :)

again, the difference between basketball and the pro-am....would imagine he's smart enough not to do that in even a practice setting.
lockett is a huge get for mu because of his 3pt abilities. i think junior and j wilson can keep their guys honest, other than that i don't see much from the outside (especially with mayo's inconsistency on and off the court). buzz' teams usually seem to figure out a zone during the game without having to hit a bunch of 3's, and i'm not sure thomas is capable to guarding anyone, but i worry about the outside shot this year. i've said that in the past about buzz' teams though, and it never ends up being a major factor.
I think the zone was "solved" by putting Jae/baseline cutter on the ball side and screening his man for an easy score.
