I can take a pretty good guess, but his Wikipedia article isn't important enough to list that information. Tom's been known to step on a lot of toes, even within his profession.

He's used that line before. Then he tries to pretend he's an unbiased professional journalist and wonders why Wes blows him off. He continues to show he's nothing more than a fanboy jock sniffer.
Oates does this every chance he gets. He is the exact reason newspapers are a faililng business - a complete hack with no grasp of reality.
All I know about Tom Oates' background is that I believe he went to Appleton Xavier High School. Not sure about his college background.
So much for objectivity in the press. I expect nothing less from a Badger backer.
Ha, what a tool. Nothing to see here but a man in a sad state, I almost feel bad for the guy. Not really though.

Hey @23_DJF_23. Do they teach a humor course at Marquette CC? If so, did you pass?

DJF @23_DJF_23
@TomOatesWSJ I'm curious. Why is it a cc? Give some information backing up your claim.

@TomOatesWSJ to go along with your previous statement. I suggest you take 3 minutes out of your day to watch this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azAcajV8qSI

Wesley Matthews @wessywes2
@23_DJF_23 don't worry bout haters man. People fear what they don't know
What's "good-natured" about that? Furthermore, how does that pass for "humor?" That doesn't even approach Tom Green humor.
I wonder what prompted that last tweet... I don't see any tweets at him that would elicit such a tweet...
Ehhh, who cares?
I'll chalk this up under:
A newspaper's primary goal is not to report the news, but to sell ads.
Readership and page views sell ads.
Whatever morality existed in reporting is quickly leaving. Being unbiased and honest isn't really profitable anymore.
Way to go Oates. You got a few more page views. Dynamite work.

A page out of the ol' Skip Bayless school of "journalism"
Who is "@23_DJF_23"?
DJF is just a kid that follows both these guys on twitter. I also think he prompted a tweet by Marquette athletics about a week ago reminding us that tweeting at recruits is an NCAA violation.
DJF = Darius Jameel-Fulce, the JUCO boogeyman that haunts Tom Oates' and ChicosBailBonds' dreams

Care to explain for those of us who are unaware of what going to Appleton Xavier means?
