Both of these guys are reported to be having excellent weeks as Burton has been one of the most explosive players at camp and there was also mention that Wilson was getting to the rim with ease and was one of top 5 assist guys at camp.
Side note, Looney has been mentioned as one of the overall beat players at the camp as well.
Very good group of 2013 players in the state with Duane Wilson, Jr., Deonte Burton and Bronson Koenig attending this camp, but Kevon Looney might be the best player right now in the state and is turning into an elite player.
I thought I was disappointed in Tokoto going to UNC.
But I think I'm going to be clinically depressed if Looney spurns MU!
"2014 SF Kevon Looney has been one of the biggest stories of the camp so far and the talented native of Wisconsin said Marquette, Kansas, Michigan State, Louisville, Villanova, Ohio State, Texas, Depaul, Georgetown, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Michigan are some of the schools already showing interest."
If he was the one who named off those schools, in that order, it's a good sign because he said MU first meaning it's the school most on his mind.
Sounds like Looney could crack the top 10 players for 2014 by the end of summer.

And this just out from Biancardi...
2014 Kevon Looney is playing like a Top-5 prospect. Incredible progress in his game

Thats impressive. If true, then Milwaukee could go back to back with Top 5's with Stone in 2015. Even Top 10s would be impressive from the state, neverless the city.

No ACC schools, interesting.

At least yet. I have absolutely zero sources, but I have a feeling that a school like Duke would be very appealing to Looney. Great academics, basketball focused school and a great "family" coach.
I'm sure UNC and Duke will come calling very soon. And I'm sure Kentucky will be heard from too. If Looney is as good as advertised, every elite school will be involved. Rumor is that MU isn't being seriously considered. Hope that's wrong.

Has anyone other than 4ever said that?
Actually, what 4ever said was that Bo felt he had good reason to feel confident.
Tin Hat Rumor: Wisconsin has Looney wrapped up, and Bo has asked Looney to mention Marquette first and Wisconsin at the end of the schools that he is considering so that MU fans suffer more when he does finally announce for Wisconsin. Fr. Pilarz's involvement is still being investigated.
Here's the Cliff Notes version of what is defacto with regards to Kevon's recruitment:
1. Its still early and no definitive decisions with regards to a final destination, at least not any that are for public consumption, are written in stone.
2. Many, many high profile schools are in contact and are establishing relationships. This is with good reason as Kevon is a very special player, both on and off the court.
3. He has been to several MU and UW events and played at Marquette's open gym, at least once or twice. An asstistant coach at UW refers to Looney as a player with a skill set similar to Jalen Rose.
4. He is 6'8" tall and just 16 years and 4 months old.
5. In his own words, the coach, style of play, and teammates are important considerations when ultimately choosing his school. Deonte Burton is a friend, but more so as someone he's routinely competed against over the past 10 plus years.
6. Leaving home to play is not an issue. Rather, seen as part of the growing process. One of which, he is ready to undertake.
7. His father, a former D-3 player, is heavily involved in the process.
8. Bo has met with the family and is well liked and trusted.
9. Earlier on, any UNC or Duke offers would have resulted in "game over."
10. Goal is to play in the NBA, but a pre-med undergraduate course of study is likely.
I've seen it on a few sites. Probably just baseless rumors. Would be a HUGE get for MU.

Excellent wrap-up. Thank you.

"Duane you had a knee issue early in your high school career." Oh, so that's why he such a late riser.
I knew Burton was athletic, but i was greatly underestimating the springs in his legs.

Deonte and Duane seem to have all types of chemistry in this highlight. Nice to see the two getting a chance to play together and feel each other out and work on some nice back and forth that they can bring to the next level together.
Duane looks great in these highlights, Deonte..... well I think he is going to be beyond great. Watching the highlights he did appear to have some great hops and in the following interview it was hard not to notice the shoulders on the kid, holly crap imagine what this young man will look like when he has spent a year or two working out in the MU system. Additionally they both seem like nice kids and very enthused about being future Warriors, nice to see the future of the program.
6. Leaving home to play is not an issue. Rather, seen as part of the growing process. One of which, he is ready to undertake.
This makes it seem like a preference to go out of state....

I agree that that is the gist of it.
