Per DJO's twitter he's getting his degree. Congratulations and Thanks for a great MU career.
Congratulations Mr. Johnson-Odom. We welcome you to our alumni family.
I liked how his tweet had some typos in it to back up that quality education.
In all seriousness though, great job by DJO. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to balance classes and all the demands on your time from being on the team.

He became an alum several years ago, but is now a MU graduate. Congratulations to DJO.
Hearty congratulations to DJO.

OMG. The supposedly late, great Chicos made a HUGE deal about this very bit of minutiae a couple years back. Was I naive to believe your assertion that you weren't him? Looks like it.

This was probably discussed at the California Beer Summit so that Hoop could properly correct ignorant posters. Hoop is not Chicos, but they may have stayed at a Holiday Inn together.
Anybody know if Jae is graduating?

He is not graduating this time around.
We all know this is not true, according to Swenson, BB Fran, and ButchBadger, Marquette players never graduate. Clearly this is a misprint

As your post suggests you may want to rethink referring to Chicos as the "late" Chicos. Unless, of course, changing one's handle is a form of reincarnation.
Yeah chicahoops already has enough of a messiah complex.
Congrats DJO. That degree will serve you well when your basketball days are behind you.

To use your phrase, OMG.
You said Chicos made a HUGE deal about this. OK, I'll take your word for it.
Did I make a huge deal about it? Or did I use 6 words in passing and made not a big deal at all about it? "He became an alum several years ago". That is making a huge deal out of something? You know it isn't.
Were there not many of these discussions here about Scott Walker who did not graduate from MU but is considered an alumnus? Tom Snyder, Dwyane Wade, Dick Cheney at Wisconsin, etc, etc?
Your own post proves how wrong you were again and you did not even know it. (or is this another attempt at your humor and was dripping with sarcasm but only I didn't get it?)
7 words.
Sorry. Didn't focus on the alumni distinction. Frankly don't care. Congrats again DJO.

;D You are so right. 7 words definitely constitutes making it a HUGE deal. Six words keeps it below the radar.

Welcome to social networks. DJO deserves some credit for taking us to two sweet 16's and finishing with a degree on time. I am ok with typos.
I received my degree this weekend as well. Not really relevant to a basketball board, but I'm proud to be among those declared "daughters and sons of Marquette forever." WarriorCode, class of 2012.

Congrats! I'd say it counts since you shared the experience of graduating with DJO ;)

Yes, since I always remember my graduation experience as the time I graduated with Terrell Schlundt. Well, that and throwing ping pong balls at Captain Kangaroo.
Congratulations and welcome to the real world!
