I wonder if the NY Times will bother reporting it.

It's inevitable----just a matter of time/when.

Wait until it happens and how it will take 4 nanoseconds to blame Bush for it and not the actual terrorists. And of course, the great irony on this particular story is that they are planning these bombings based on our incursion into Afghanistan, not Iraq. If my memory serves me correctly, about 88% of the country supported going into Afghanistan but many will convienently forget that littled factoid.
Yea Chicos----they'll blame Bush's porous borders-----and then advocate we treat it soley as a domestic law enforcement problem even though a foreign owned attack----and advocate to keep playing defense.
U.S. intelligence officials described the event as another example of "an aggressive and sophisticated propaganda campaign."
too bad our national guard and reserves are in iraq

Exactly whose fault would it be if groups of terrorists from Afghanistan or some other Middle Eastern nation infiltrate U.S. borders (monitored by federal agencies), acquire explosives (also monitored by federal agencies) and then detonate them in crowded places?
Would the New York Times be to blame? The BBC, perhaps? The liberal media as a whole?
I dont like this topic and we should all realize that the Iraqi war is not protecting us, but only creating more terrorists.

Who's fault? Oh, I don't know...how about the ones committing the crime. Let's start there. That being said, our borders are a joke and have been for 40 years no thanks to Dems trying to get voters and Republicans trying to get cheap labor.

Yeah...100% of them last I heard. ::)

And if they say the threat is real, the great minds at the NY Times will say it's trumped up....looks to me like it's a no win situation. Considering how "stellar" our US Intelligence officials have been since 1992, let's just say I'm not taking a lot of confidence with that statement.

Right....because prior to the Iraq war they sure were having troubles creating terrorists to attack us.
WTC 1993
WTC 9/11
USS Cole
Beiruit
Khobar Towers
Two US embassy bombings
etc, etc, etc, etc
By the way, this story is about Afghanistan...remember, the one where the left said "hell yes we should go into Afghanistan".
By the way, remind me again who was President when the Anti-Terrorist Act of 1996 was signed into law? Here's a hint, I believe Bush was running a state called Texas at the time. And remind me WHY that law was passed a full 7 years before we went into Iraq?
