We have a new BOT chair, Chuck Swoboda.
This was discussed, briefly, in another thread, before someone de-railed it into politics.
Let's get back on track... Is he a hoops fan? Is he a warrior? Where does he stand one Larry the domer v. Buzz? Is he a Real Chili virgin? Will he reign in the ball program's spending, or will he see it as an asset to the school?
Is he a Whig or a Federalist? Just kidding.
Seriously...this guy can have a ton of influence on the program. Discuss.
Is he kin to Ron Swoboda?
I am quite certain he is and has been a season ticket holder. I feel like he understands the importance.

Actually the Chair has only marginal influence on the program. The Board as a whole most certainly does however.

What I was thinking. Swoboda did the sports in Milwaukee (Channel 12?) while I was at Marquette. They also had the Polish Stallion, Rod Luck. Not sure why Swoboda was hired as he wasn't that good. Of course, he was better than The Polish Stallion.

Raleigh to Milwaukee is only a 28 minute flight. In an F 16. US Air might be a tad slower.
Of course, he likely has access to a G5 or Falcon so he could do that run in 1.45 hours. Makes Season Tickets very doable.
Yeah, but how long in an A10?

Assuming Cree, Inc. has a company jet and that he has use of the company plane for personal reasons. I'm not sure that Cree is big enough to be providing those kind of perks.

Yes. They are big enough.

Eh, debatable. Nonetheless, they acquired an aircraft (now own 80% of it) in the Ruud Lighting acquisition this past August.
BOT chair?
