Finney-Smith, Uthoff potential MU transfers: What each would bring
Written by: Mark Strotman
Buzz Williams and Marquette have one open scholarship remaining for both the 2012 and 2013 classes, and have reportedly shown interest in two intriguing players who could add a significant boost to the roster. Virginia Tech forward Dorian Finney-Smith announced ... Continue reading → (http://painttouches.com/2012/05/10/finney-smith-uthoff-potential-mu-transfers-what-each-would-bring/)

Wouldn't it be sweet to be on the level of a North Carolina, where Nunn and McKay would be racing each other to get to the phone to claim the last scholarship. Then Buzz and the whole coaching staff could spend all of next year following Looney's team around.
I'm starting to dig Painttouches......doing breakdowns on up to the minute issues among the masses...that's how the 21st century web media is gonna have to roll and you fellas are off to a good start.
I'd be down to land Finney-Smith
Finney-Smith would definitely be my top hope for the last current 2012 scholarship. That'd be on par with landing Rodney Hood.

Definitely. Usually, there's not much discussions in a Paint Touches thread, mostly because the articles say it all.
Strotty does a nice job.
Paint Touches has become the go to place for everything to do with MU basketball. Great work by Mark.
Appreciate all the kind words in here! Just a guy with a blog who is passionate about Marquette basketball. Little teaser here, but I have an interview lined up with Trent Lockett for next week (he's in the process of moving back to Minn. right now) that should be up about a week from today. Also, Jae's Path to the NBA series will be back next Monday.
For real, we all appreciate the kind words and the clicks. I've said it before, but MUScoop has been our main source of reads. Thanks.

Strotty - Really like your work. Keep it up. But Strotty.....
.....Don't get cocky, kid!! ;)
According to @DavidTeelatDP, Marquette was not one of the schools Dorian Finney-Smith's AAU coach siad called showing interest. #mubb

Like I said, he's not traditional enough.
It is great to have a source like Paint Touches to fill us in on what's going down with the program. You put Enlund and his weak sauce to shame. Keep it up.

As long as you're working on paint touches, you're not unemployed, you're just not making any money.
Strotty did you guys stop doing the player breakdowns/previews for next year? I really enjoyed those, especially the Aki quotes.

We actually finished all of them. If you search "player breakdown" on the website you can find all of them.
So were not in on Finney-Smith because we never asked for permission to speak to him and Uthoff isn't visiting for a few more weeks. So who else are we in on that we have a shot at landing?

But does he have as many contacts as Bausch & Lomb? Remember, IWB once went and watched Dominic James play in HS.

Congrats!
Need an open letter to MJS from the MUScoop community to push for you as an Enlund's replacement? ;)

Congrats. Enjoy Senior Week. (And then write a column about it. At least the parts you remember.)
