...here we go.
Vander Blue tweeted within the hour that he is changing his number next year.
Hopefully not his zipcode.
I dont see why this is Hiroshima starting, he's just changing his number!
Blue wore #22 in high school and that's the number Jamail Jones wore the last two years.
He said hes changing it to 13. Doesnt mean he's leaving anywhere
I thought about using teal...but I honestly didn't think anyone would think I was serious.

LOL. Im new here I didnt know that was protocol
Doesnt quite have the same ring to it as #2 Vander Blue. Looks like we need a new intro for him.
Maybe this will end rumors that VB is transferring because he's being forced out due to grades, off court behavior, not liking the color orange, etc.....
THIRTEEN?!
GET HIM!

The last Warrior to wear #13 was Alton Mason. (Good lord.)
Rony Eford was immediately prior.

Yep. FWIW, I had heard that he was not in academic trouble and has been actually doing fairly well.

So, this is just Iwo Jima then?
My daughter wore 13 in high school and she was a good player! Dan Marino wore 13 and he retired as the best QB ever. Ipso fatso, Vander's success will range somewhere between that of my daughter and Dan Marino.

Just curious, how long have you had that graphic ready, waiting to use?
For those of you new to the board the pilot would be MU's very own Larry Williams with Fr. Pilarz bringing up the rear. Just how involved were they in the number change, do you think, Stone Cold?
My understanding is that Larry Williams and Fr. Pilarz were brought here to rid MU basketball of single-digit numbers. Not sure if that is their policy or if they are simply following the wishes of the Board of Trustees.
Not sure if i would have used that caption Stone Cold?!

So the BoT can't throw beer down upon him as he walks by Raynor.

Well, it could be tomorrow...depends on if the player has left I guess. Regardless, we will know by the 21st if everyone is on campus for summer school.

It actually happened in conjunction with the Smithsonian's atomic bomb exhibit opening slightly before the 50th anniversary.
Mark Madler of American Lawyer Media tells this story of PC run amok: "On Labor Day weekend in 1994, the Northwest Herald ran a wire story about the Smithsonian Institution's controversial exhibit on the dropping of the atomic bomb.
"The copy editor wrote this as the headline: 'Atomic Bombers Upset Over Enola Homosexual Exhibit.' Yes, that person actually thought the 'Gay' in Enola Gay referred to an alternative lifestyle."

You might be onto something. They already forced DJO to graduate in three years and transfer to the NBA. Now my sources tell me they won't allow Cadougan to play beyond the 2012-2013 season. SMH.

I thought of him, actually. The man was up to his ears in extremely high quality quim and for that he must be recognized. At the end of it, though, I listed the QB's who delivered championships because that is what really matters. Broadway Joe, like Marino, appeared in one Super Bowl. Unlike Marino, though, The Tail Hunter actually won the game.

You can add Brady, Manning, Favre, Elway, and a slew of others to that list as well. Marino was a chucker that only knew how to call his own number 50 times a game and bitch out his receivers when he threw a bad ball.

Huge difference between the two. Clinton favored cocktail waitresses and lounge singers with heavy make up, big hair and even larger buttocks. Joe Willy was a man of far more discriminating tastes. He was cut from the same cloth as another great grid iron cocksman - Paul Hornung. These were men who had the pick of the litter and savored the delights of a beautiful woman. Clinton lurked in the shadows while Broadway Joe and the Golden Boy proudly wore stunning women on their arms in full view of an admiring public. Clinton played games with definitions while Joe and Paul simply smiled and winked. I must ask: Whom do you admire?

Back in the early days of Miller Lite they did have some awesome commerciasls. One of the best was Hornung in a tux getting out of a limo. As he is standing there holding the door open he says, "Coacj Lombardi always said the key to victory was practice, practice, practice." After each "practice" emerged a blond, then a brunette, then a red head. Hilarious.
My band of brothers, I salute you all on an excellent thread. Never in the course of MU basketball has so much been owed by so many to so few.
