"Tulsa has lost it's starting backcourt as both Texas D1 Ambassadors alums are moving on with the firing of Coach Doug Wojcik. Freshman Eric McClellan has visits to Gonzaga, Vanderbilt and Marquette ( and possibly two others)."

Apparently more of a point than a 2...played 23 mpg as a freshman. Would have to sit a year.
Meh... I'll pass. Other guys I would rather have in 2013 (Nunn, Nolan, McKay...)
Another guard...
Just glancing at his stats, I'm not sure what he'd be projected to do in 2 years that Derrick Wilson wouldn't.
If there is a fire, I want Kendrick Nunn to put it out.
Transfer season must be coming shortly with all these kids visiting.

I think there's a reason we're focusing on guys for a 2012 scholarship. I wouldn't put too much hope in a Nunn commit to MU.

So Lockett takes Durley's spot for 2012 and Wilson takes it for 2013. I get that if somebody leaves we have an open spot in 2012, but this kid can't use it and comparing 2013 onward I would rather have Nunn. We looked to be in the lead for Nunn before Wilson committed and if we lose a guard, I don't really see why Wilson's commitment would change his interest.

something about smoke and fire
Nah, just using up the recruiting budget, so the school doesn't reduce it on him.
HIGH SCHOOL, SR YEAR -- Was a three-year letterwinner and three-year starter at Austin High School . . . led his team to a 29-4 record and the District 15-5A championship his senior season . . . averaged 18.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists as a senior . . . shot 44-perent from the field, 53-percent from three-point range and 77-percent from the free throw line as a senior . . . was named the District 15-5A MVP as a senior and earned first-team all-CenTex accolades . . . was an McDonald's All-American nominee . . .

earned PT as a Freshman. didn't exactly light it up, but had some good games late. Last 4 games when he started getting starter minutes; 14.8, 4, 3.5 on 56% shooting. Only 180, year off might be a good thing before he gets to the big east.
I'd guess he could contribute as a JR and SR, might not the best name on our list right now.
FYI.. EM isn't the only guy leaving Tulsa...
Let's open the borders and take in all comers.
The American way baby.
Bring me ALL the transfers!

I don't have him projected in the top 1200 (top 30% next year), but agree that a guy who plays point as a freshman is always worth a look, particularly with good high school credentials.
Side note: who knew Tulsa used the MU tiger/war stripes?
Not McClellan btw...pic came up during a goggle search.

But you do have Jordan Clarkson...
