Since MU is rumored to be in on transfers Trent Lockett Derrick Gordon and Jarrod Uthoff, it has to be assumed someone is leaving or not attending to make room? So who will it be...
Good topic - I haven't seen anything on this in a few minutes...!

Thank you :)
I understand the math, but I hope you realize how ironic this thread is.
To summarize this thread: The rumors are "never-ending," so let's create yet another thread to speculate about who may or may not be transferring.
I heard Junior was leaving.
That is all..

created this overused topic out of boredom sorry
If someone is transferring I'm guessing it is one of the following:
Junior Cadougan
Derrick Wilson
Vander Blue
Todd Mayo
Jake Thomas
Jamail Jones
Juan Anderson
Jamil Wilson
Chris Otule or
Davante Gardner
If I didn't make my point clear - this thread is pointless.
When does school end?

You should transfer after creating this thread

Jake Thomas would not open up a scholarship.
The real question is whether Buzz is looking for more than one transfer in?
I do not agree with it, but I assume Locket is replacing Durly.

I would be shocked if Vander left, but if he did it would help explain a lot of things.

Might not be his choice.

From everything we've heard, it sounds like up to three people may be gone without it being their choice.
I really hope it's not Vander, as I think he was set to break out in a big way.

I also would be shocked if Vander left. He is not high on my list of possibilities.

Get set for another 100 page thread if that happens.

Considering seinfeld was the first guy to tease that players were going to be pushed out, if you believe that statement to be true, you'd have to assume he knows pretty well who it might be. Those two being pushed would disappoint me. I see Anderson with a higher ceiling than Jamail. And I see Blue being a HUGE impact player all over the court by senior year. Sad if true.
I hope Anderson stays. My biggest fear would be Mayo leaving.

Unlike a lot of posters, I don't pretend to have any insider info on who may or may not be transferring, but why do people always assume that if a player transfers he was forced out? Maybe the player just isn't happy at MU, maybe he is homesick, maybe he doesn't feel close to his teammates, maybe he hates Milwaukee winters, maybe he thinks he's in over his head, maybe he can't handle the academics at MU, maybe he was apprehensive about going to MU in the first place, maybe he'd rather be a star on a lower-level D1 team, maybe he wants to major in something not offered at MU, maybe he takes 100 times more flak than praise from his own team's fans. Who knows? To act like any player who leaves did so because he was forced out is just plain ignorant.
So, I'm good with whoever leaves. One comes, one goes. We could use an upgrade at several spots.

Except in this case multiple people have stated that it would not be their choice, that they are in fact being forced out. I think that's why people are jumping to that conclusion here.
It's great for the current players to read about which one of them is leaving.

You don't think they read between the lines when Buzz is out recruiting a new teammate for next year/already know who is leaving because of how much time they spend together?

I actually don't think that's true (as long as we're not counting smuXX). Multiple people reported it was very close to happening, and that's been confirmed by multiple media outlets.

I don't think anyone ever said it was a done deal. ESPN and Fox journalists did say that there were serious discussions between Buzz and SMU.

I don't think anyone on this board said it was a done deal, except for trolls. Even the most ardent of the sky-is-falling crowd on this board never claimed it was a done deal.
The only person to post anything about it was IWB, and his article was basically just gossip, masquerading as journalism, begging for page views.
No one from ESPN took the story seriously, including the king of rumor-mongering buffoons, Andy Katz. Apparently, Jason King has nothing else better to do than warm over a three week old turd, so he posted a meaningless story, about how Buzz had all but packed his toothbrush and change of underwear for SMU. That does not qualify as "serious", IMO.

That doesn't mean anything. ESPN these days is often times way behind others with solid information.

Thanks to Bo Ryan we now know how to spot transfers who decided to leave on their own. Anytime Marquette blocks at least 25 schools from accepting a transfer we'll know its voluntary because Buzz will be forcing an appeal so he can find out why the player wants to transfer.
