Florida International University fired Isaih Thomas. According to Zeke, it was the first time (among several firings) he's been let go for "basketball reasons".
Buzz to FIU?
He turned a contending Pacers team into a bunch of kids that couldn't win a series, he traded away the future of the Knicks and replaced it with a state of salary cap hell, and he "led" FIU to a combined 26 wins in 3 years. Hopefully those leading programs across the country have learned that while he might have been a great player, Isiah Thomas is completely useless as a basketball coach or executive. The man should never work in the field again.
2 years overdue

Don't forget that he bankrupted the CBA.

I believe that this is an unfairly harsh statement. I, for one, would love to see him coach again at either Louisville or Kentucky.
I think he'd be an excellent hire in Madison at some point in time.
He'll probably be the next hire at IU when dickhead gets Creaned.
Isiah to SMU?

What decade do you predict that will happen? 2025?

It'll happen pretty damn quick, if he doesn't win big starting next year. He has the big expectations now.
He can probably be the next seek the services of at IU when dickhead gets Creaned.
Apparently the FIU team walked out on the end of the year banquet in protest of his firing. Which would mean those were the kinds of kids he was bringing in...

You mean bringing in kids who seem to be 100% loyal and committed to the coach?
unnatural carnal knowledge me, if that's a negative.

It depends on whether they liked him because he was a good coach, a great leader of men and they thought he got a raw deal or if they liked him because they weren't held accountable for their actions and could walk all over him. Not saying that those are the only two options but simply saying that they're 100% loyal and committed to the coach doesn't necessarily tell the whole story.

Thats pretty ambitious for a coach who has had basically fledgling success since Wade. Don't get me wrong, I think he'll be fine for the next 4 years at least, but IU is not a place where being a top 20 caliber team every year is good enough. Plus, he has never shown the ability to lead, much less grow and manage, a top-5 or top-10 program year in and year out.
He certainly may, but that next step is much larger than you are making it look.

It reflects poorly on them because it does no good. So they walk out of the dinner in protest...what is FIU going to do in response? Hire him back? Not a chance. It hardly makes FIU look bad that they fired a coach with a terrible losing record.
I'm not saying it was "bad" that they walked out of the dinner...just that no good can come from their action.

Since we have like 8 anti-spambot measures in order to to register, this must be an actual guy that has spent so much time trying to post spam (only to have it deleted, and his user be banned), that he actually knows good topics to post now. I have to admit, I'm impressed!
So, I've deleted the links, and left the "spam"

Geez, soon you'll have to pin a list of spambotters to the top of Hangin' at the Al, so we can sort out the defanged spambotters from merely deranged posters.

Those bots post links because they want to get higher positions in Google by increasing the number of sites that have links back to their website. Google has a tag called "nofollow" that can be added to links to make them not count towards Google's ranking's. If you added this Mod (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1236), you'd take away their incentive to post links and probably get a lot of them to stop all together over time.
