Buzz to TCU?
Done deal. TCU has tendered Buzz a contract that stipulates that his players will not be required to practice free throws. I heard that was / is the issue right now between Buzz, the Domer and Fr. Pilarz. I also heard, but cannot confirm, that TCU is in Texas.

Smart career move. He was going to get thrashed next year in the B12 and would be left with nothing. This way he gets to lengthen his career in a geographic area where he succeeded before.
+1
He was pretty solid at Kent State. Going back to where familiar stomping grounds.

Buzz to TCU?
TCU and SMU; let the bidding war begin. I hear that TCU has some
very wealthy alumni who were just waiting til this moment to suddenly sink huge sums into the basketball program in order to get the right coach.
Can UTEP be far behind? Discuss.

Where's frog18? He should have some insider info?
Maybe Christian didn't read the fine print that it's Ohio, not Ohio State.
So is TCU going to have to change their name now? I mean it isn't Texas Christian's University anymore now is it? :P

Info from TCU18?
Where's Goose with the largely contradictory inside scoop?
Atl Warrior
Sorry but do not have any inside info on this topic. Thanks for looking for insight from me though.
The word in the papers down here is that Coach Christain felt that TCU was not committed to having a winning basketball program. His main concern was the lack of competitive facilities which would have a negative impact on his ability to recruit Big-12 caliber players. Their basketball arena holds less than 5,000 people. TCU just spent a truckload of cash upgrading thier football stadium, etc. We all know that football is KING in Texas. No doubt TCU's basketball program would have been a bottom-feeder for several years. Although they had a few good upsets in the Mountain West conference this year (UNLV, SDSU), the MW Conference is not the Big-12 plus he loses several key players to graduation next year. Christian also recently had his hat in the ring for the Rhode Island job that eventually went to Coach (Danny?) Hurley.
Daniel-Meyer Coliseum at TCU seats 7,201.
Has Davante's jersey been packed?
