Title: Louisville game
Post by: ErickJD08 on March 31, 2012, 07:00:47 PM
Louisville putting on a very Marquette-like performance. They are making the game ugly and scratching their way in the game.

6:32 left in the game and one of the announcers says "Syracuse staying in their match up man to man" or some defense.  Talking about Louisville.

Shame the refs swallowed their whistles while Kentucky was playing defense.

How soon until Kentucky is forced to forfeit this Final Four appearance?

Kentucky might be one of the better teams I have seen in the last decade.

Anthony Davis is just a plain stud.  He was a high school guard until he grew big time.  The skill set he has to include ball handling and hands is very impressive for a kid his size.  I think he had 18 pts, 14 rbs and five blocks.

Good fight UL, Blackshear (that dunk was unreal) and Behanan will be very good in the next few years.

You do realize that Calipari has never had trouble with boosters right?

Louisville played a Marquette-like game, while Kentucky is like a pro team  Bascially is.

I thought the same thing.  Well-played and poorly officiated game.

Kentucky wins every year with the one and dones, Coach Slick and the boosters.

I will start with, I have no facts to back this up.....

For one program to suck in recruits like this year after year.....

Could UK be the basketball version of SMU or USC!  Believe me, there is lots of money, old money, in Lexington.

With that said, the kids at UK are really good.  Great team.  Would love to see them against an MU team hitting on all cylinders.

so what? what's wrong with going to school for a year and getting drafted because you're good? cal has the rep to turn talen into the NBA in a year or two, why wouldnt the best want to play for him?

also no evidence that he has any issues with boosters. all of his problems tie to player academic issues.

that being said, i think he's a little slimy, and what goes around comes around. but to imply winning with one and dones is somehow a bad thing is off base.

It will be interesting to see if Davis, MKG, and Jones are replaced by Noel, Muhammad, and Bennett in the coming weeks. I find it very hard to believe that UK doesn't have some type of extra incentive for these recruits. I realize they are a blue-blood, but they are out-recruiting UNC, Duke, UCLA, and all the other blue bloods by a country mile.

Only a matter of time before it's all vacated, just like every other stop Cal has made. Of course, by then he'll be coaching the Knicks, so what will he care?

In my view Calipari has little to do with turning kids into NBA players/prospects...the kids that go to Kentucky under Calipari generally have been Top 20 players coming out of High School and high 5-Star talents, who are virtually assured of an NBA career.  What may be true/slimy under Cal, is that these kids aren't forced into being real students at Kentucky, and from what I've read, rarely go to class, etc.

It's called World Wide Wes and ALL his connections to Lebron and others who just happen to show up when Cal is recruiting...or Cal flying around with Lebron....while on his way to visit a recruit... anyone who thinks UK is running a clean program is very naive.

The NCAA is gutless when it comes to Kentucky right now

Calishady's program has stink all over it and for now, they are turning a blind eye.

UK is really, really good and fun to watch. Obviously with the kids they bring in they are always going to be good but this team I actually like. Love the way they play defense and push the ball up the court.

Wasn't Camby getting $$$ from a UMass booster? Sorry, but where ever Cal goes trouble follows him.

All it's going to take is one of these phenoms having someone take his SAT for him, and the NCAA finds out about it, and whatever title(s) UK wins will be vacated. Whether the NCAA wants to look for it is another question.
