Word on the street is Fr. Pilarz and LW are hearing it with waves of support for Buzz!
What are their email addresses?
We need a thread for a list of people of importance to send emails to regarding this matter. Not just LW and Pilarz, but the whole board of trusties.

I doubt it. Email spam filters have gotten pretty good lately.
This is what, the third or fourth thread regarding self-congratulatory, fart wafting posts about how people have emailed the administration, and how it's making such a
huge difference?
I'm sure this is all helping. When all of "this" blows over and Buzz stays, all of you get a cookie.
Make sure you bookmark those emails so you lunatics can send in hatemail if/when MU has a bad loss or a poor season.
The administration should not be taking any sort of advice from stupid fans like us... just like Buzz shouldn't determine starters from emails we send in.
This isn't American idol.
True, but it is Alumni who make donations and pissed off alumni don't make donations.
Pissed off season ticket holders don't renew, as well.
There's a poll on Scout .. it's like 30/70 on people not renewing if Buzz leaves. Obviously, that's not the real ratio, but I would not be shocked if a quarter didn't renew.

A lot of that depends on the replacement.

By that same logic, our politicians shouldn't listen to us either...
oh wait.

I wish I was better than this, but if I'm being honest... Buzz leaves, a couple recruits decommit, and a player or two leave also - I'm not sure I would be motivated enough to drive the 2 hours each way to a home game. I know I'm not the only Chicago suburbian on this board with tickets. I'm usually just a 5 game plan plus maybe a game or two, but it adds up quickly when people start canceling.

Agree with your thoughts. If Buzz were to leave under bad circumstances due to a rift b/t him and the new administration there would be a huge number of season ticket cancellations and donation elminations.
When Crean left voluntarily we still had Matthews, McNeal and James returning as seniors and a preseason Top 10 team. With DJO and Crowder gone there insn't nearly the emotional connection with the remaining roster. It could get ugly.
If Buzz leaves there would be a very large number of folks cancel tickets. Buzz is in th drivers seat and he school knows it. They let him get more power than they wanted and the power is growing by the hour.
Stick it to 'em Buzz.
Still trying to figure out why Buzz would want out. Someone, please sum all this up and enlighten me.

Well, that means a lot of people who keep their accounts can get better seats!
It's not about Buzz. It's about Marquette.
If Buzz was running a shoddy, dirty program, I'd side with the Administration.
The minute Buzz leaves is the minute MU has decided to throw the program under the bus. No major coach will touch MU.

Which is why I'm so confused that Goose would post "stick it to 'em Buzz." 1) Buzz is dirty and I side with MU 2) MU is throwing the program under the bus and I don't care anymore. I'm certainly not following Buzz to SMU to start cheering on the Mustangs.

I agree with you. I think Marquette as a university is so out of touch with its alums and their wants and beliefs it's not even funny. Between PC name changes, HIRING practices, far left leanings, etc., I think many let it slide figuring MU has become much like most of "academia."
With that said, I think people draw the line with the basketball program. You start messing with this thing and it'd spell absolute disaster. 40 years in the desert type stuff. Marquette is a nice university. It's not Boston College, it's not Notre Dame, it's not Georgetown and it never will be.
I think this Buzz situation is an absolute powder keg for the university itself and they better not light a match.
Are we talking 1914 Balkans powder keg, cause if that's the case, hundred years won't be long enough to fix that mess.

Most of academia isn't this strange in its decision-making. Marquette is simply strange at times.

Far-left leaning? What are you talking about? I'm as liberal as they come and by no means would I consider MU a far-left leaning school.
Oh, and I am a huge proponent of bringing back Warriors too.

Perhaps you're right. I mean left leaning from the Catholic Church I grew up in.

It's not Wesleyan, but it's definitely left of center (but so are almost all educational institutes, so why bother pointing it out?)
Point made, enough left / right talk, or else this will never make it to 0.86 pages.

They were left wing since we're keeping track.
A remedy to the university's leftward, secular drift is at hand. The College Republicans will host Presidential candidate and exemplary new Catholic Newt Gingrich and the perpetually-smiling Callista, this Thursday in the Weasler Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.

I think MU has had it's share of BIG mistakes. The way the "gold" thing played out, and now the "buzz thing", it doesn't exactly inspire confidence.
However, it's funny you go back to 1994 as your base example for how MU screws things up. Do you realize ALL of the things MU has done RIGHT since then (including hiring Buzz when it wasn't a popular decision).
I won't say that MU is infallible, but they might not be as dumb or as crazy as we think. They have gotten a lot of stuff right in the past 15 years. Campus planning, enrollment, athletics, donations, academic programs, etc.
