to have your one shining moment. Not that it ain't possible to develop lesser talent, and Buzz does a great job of that, but innate talent is king if you want to bring home the hardware on Tuesday. So, until we book some 5 stars to spar with the big boys, it's tough to stake out our spot at the urinal.
As I noted in the other thread about this, most Burger boys go to school within 200 miles of their home. Example ... Jared Sullinger is from Columbus!
So if you want burger boys, they need to come from Wisconsin or Chicago. The good news is Burton, Kevon Looney and Diamond Stone are all Milwaukee kids and all have legit shots at being burger boys. Burton is coming and Buzz is all over Looney and Stone (Duane Wilson is Stone's PG this year.)
Nothing has to change and we could have three burger boys! Watch this space.
I don't think burton will be a McAA, but looney has a great shot being #13 on espn and #22 on rivals
I forgot Kendrick Nunn has a shot too.

Burton is #29 on ESPN 60

Rivals has him as #45

Their are 24 burger boys every year. So, yes, Burton has a shot, not a favorite, but he has a shot.
has it been that long
since duane johnson ran the floor
jae makes me not care
Burton has a shot. Looney has a good shot. Stone has an excellent shot. If we can keep our in-city recruiting locked up, we should have a couple in the next few years.

Who cares about the NIT semifinals on Tuesday, I'd rather bring home the NCAA hardware on Monday.

We don't get the Mickey D's All Americans ...we get the Louie D's All Americans. I miss Louie D's.

They may not, but you don't need McDonald's All Americans to play in the Final Four (MU did it in 2003), Kansas is playing for all the marbles tonight, Butler the last two years didn't have any. George Mason had none. VCU had none.

Thats true, but the odds of making it to a final four are slim. But not impossible as you just mentioned MU did it back in 03.
Interesting read from the Sun-Times on the Illinois situation which can apply to Marquette as well as dozens others. A little squirmy for me.

Louie D's! I forgot about that place. So sad was only around my freshman year.
Forget Mickey D's... we had 5 McDowell's All-Americans on the team this year.

Is this a
Coming to America joke? Jae is probably the closest, but he'd have to get rid of the dreads and rock some Jerry Curl.

No.... this is a
Coming to America joke:
A man goes into a restaurant. He sits down, he's havin' a bowl of soup. He says to the waiter, "Waiter, come taste the soup."
Waiter says, "Is there something wrong with the soup?"
He says, "Taste the soup."
"Is there something wrong with the soup? Is the soup too hot?"
He says, "Will you taste the soup?"
"What's wrong is the soup to cold?"
"Will you just taste the soup?"
"All right, I'll taste the soup. Where's the spoon?"
"Ah-ha!"
