For a great year that was a lot of fun.
Yeah, I wished we had beaten Florida, but you were a lot of fun to watch this year and we had a great time.
We'll see you all next fall -- Jae and DJO, look forward to watching you both in the N-B-A!!!
Thanks guys
Agreed.
I appreciate what the team did this year.
Sure would have liked to get to Elite 8. But not going to bash a team that I cheer for.
Keep recruiting and getting switchables.
Rest of guys...try not to be so harsh.
this is a one and done tournament and it wasn't MU's night
I thought Buzz is leaving for Norther Michigan. Some guy said so on the Internet!

I think Buzz is for real and this was his best coaching job yet, and they've all been good ones. We got every ounce out of this team. We have no margin for error without that eraser in the middle and the big guys to make everything better with blocks and rebounds and dunks. When you compare our talent to someone like UConn, we honestly aren't even that close. But the team was together, played hard and maximized their potential. Can't ask for more than that.
best coaching job yet - losing as the higher seed and favored by Vegas?
It was a great season and they did it without a full sized healthy center. I'm not slighting Jamil but it would have been nice to have a few more fouls to give at the five. Buzz has done a nice job of improving the center position but it's a shame that the team lost both centers due to injury this year.
Two years ago I happened to be at The Al when the team came back from a first round loss in the NCAA. Their willingness to help each other unload bags and act like a team made me feel really proud of MU. I won't be at The Al tomorrow but I'm sure DJO and Jae will be leading the way for a great season that ended with a loss.
Good luck in life DJO and Jae!
Great season. I am very impressed by the way that Buzz gets the most from his players every year. Otule would have been huge tonight to alter some shots around the rim for Florida. Thanks to all the players and to Buzz. They make it fun to follow Marquette all year long. The play an exciting brand of basketball. We shot poorly and couldn't keep their guards out of the lane and we were within 6 points with a minute left. It's tough to lose when not playing your best but it was another great year.

Referring to the season as a whole, not this individual game, which was a clunker.

I think Buzz coached well tonight. It's hard to stay in a game when your best player sits for the last 8 minutes of the first half and your point guard has 4 fouls a minute into the second half. Taking those things into consideration, we were still a couple of made baskets from making Florida very uncomfortable in the second half. No fault on Buzz in this one.
