4 more to go!!
Go Warriors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really wish MU played the early game! All this waiting throughout the day, evening and night has left my stomach in butterflies. Almost time - let's bring it boys!
in'03, UW lost the early game (and many questioned a coaching decision by Bo). MU followed up with a win. History repeats tonight!!
I agree. A lot of butterflies the whole day. Sort of feels surreal that the game is almost on.

Pizza just arrived - Let's Go Marquette!!!
Bad luck when I went to Tiny Chat last week so I'm here for the whole game.
Wilson SOTG.
Calm down Junior, play your game man...
Nice assist before :)
Wilson playing awesome. Junior has two bad turnovers. Has to calm down.
Good start.
Need to take care of the ball!
Was a bit worried about the first few minutes. But we are good so far. Gators missing wide open shots.
Glad to see Vander learned how to play defense this week.
They came to play. Got to stop the second chances and protect the ball though - UF shooting is cold but can't count on that lasting.

Arguably our best defender...did you mean someone else?
Junior WTF???? and possesion leads to a Jae foul. Oh boy....
Really he gets burned a lot. Not sure our best I am hoping you are being sarcastic.
Cmon Cadougan!!!
Junior again, WTF????? Number 2 now.
Dont like this start as far as refs calling it tight
Crowder and One. We need to get all the balls to him and DJO.

Yeah that was just horrible "D" helping force that turnover. Badger fan?
Ouch. 3+1 for Beal... >:(
Junior had 3 turnovers and two fouls in six minutes.
Jeeez a four point play and a missed dunk by Wilson.
Lets go guys.....Here comes DG.

Insulted by that comment. I am all Marquette..just think he is playing horrible, want him to be great like he can be. I know what his plan was, but they love to shoot outside so he can not chase on a play like that.
Said it before..the way to beat MU is to pressure the hell out of Cadougan/the team for all 94 feet...Louisville and Cincy loses at end of season illustrated this. Not surprised to seen Donovan bring the heat. Hopefully the guys settle down just a little and get their composure. Looks like this is gonna be a dogfight.
We need to move the ball better. Luckily DJO has been hot so far. We need to get DG involved on offense too.

I apologize that was low. Sorry.
We just been Valentined. Where is Bobby Knight when you need him?
OH OH.....Jae #2.....
Our point guard needs to step it up right now.
2 empty sets with questionable 3's by Jae and an in and out layup for Vander. Need to hang in through half.
We need to get DJ more involved, he's got the hottest hand.
You can tell Jae is trying to hard right now, hope he settles in.
This is a bad scenario for Marquette. Jae and Cadougan both with two.
Jae forcing it
Give the ball to Darius or DG.

Yup, those three empty possessions really hurt. Jae is 0 for 3 from three and missing poorly. Can't believe Vander's layup didn't drop.
BTW, Gardner looks slow tonight, like he is hurting.
Florida Bigs are took quick for gardner... He's going to need to really it up!
Junior not playing smart..stop the turnovers. Agree we need to get dojo going...we will be okay.
UF with only two fouls.
About three seconds too late to be blowing the whistle on DG there.
Really? That was a foul? Come on Valentine. Really a bad official.
That was tough by Wilson.
Anybody else have a REALLLLLLLLLY good feeling next year about Wilson?!?! ;D
Good news, no MU turnovers in last nine minutes. Hope I didn't give them the whammy.
Great put back Van!!!
JUNIOR!!!
F*CK!
Some nights it's hard to root for Jr. This is one of them.
What a retard.
Can they miss any more layups? or just get blocked?
They called that one on Gardner. We need to get that same call. Buzz spent that last FT yelling at the official.
Thank you Todd, great pass Van!
Could the TBS presentation be anymore frustrating to watch? Watching half the game as a PIP so they can use 3/4 of the screen to show 5 numbers and then using the most ridiculous camera angles.

Not very good. With Crowder on bench, glad we are just about even. Florida is just chucking up 3's.

Good Junior/Bad Junior
So far, it's been mostly "Bad Junior" but there's lots of basketball still to play. He can get it going.
We really are not getting the same calls that Florida is. Gardner pushed in the back on that last board - no call. DJO needs to take over right now. Be the Senior.
Somebody tell DJO it is the Sweet 16 game. He started great and has been MIA since the 15 minute mark. MU really needs him, especially with Crowder on the bench.
Big 58 seconds coming up. Only down 4 without much from Jae or Junior. Can't let it get away.

8 points in the 1st 5 minutes. 0 since.
Davante really dragging the leg and playing too many minutes b/c of the fouls on Jae. No offensive flow at all, but we are still right in it despite an awful half.
Good that the turnovers have stopped. Shot selection has been bad. Only issue is both are tied to Cadougan being on the bench.
Buzz will adjust.

Last six possessions:
Vander two terrible, terrible misses.
Mayo two misses.
DJO a miss.
Cadugan fouled, misses both.
4 for last 22 and still down by 4.
Pretty poor guys.
You really can't rely on him...
Billy - how lucky are you that Crowder and Junior were on the bench for the final 10 minutes?
Right where we always are...... if Buzz gets them to be US for last 20 I like our chances, ball security and get some O-flow
Jr. really struggles sometimes. Made a bad half worse by bricking the two free throws.
Not a good first half. But I like where we stand having played pretty bad in first half and only down 5. Were a resilient bunch..I am confident. Florida just is not that good.

This won't continue. The first 5 minutes of the second half are crucial. I expect a serious run which will give us a lead.
-6, that's nothing. We can do it. Cincy is doing it right now vs OSU. They were down by 12 at halftime, and now up by 3.
I actually have a really good feeling about the second half right now. Don't know why, but I do. We didn't play our game in the first half, and I think Buzz is going to go into the locker room and get them focused.
Probably going to give the speech of his life and give them nerves of steel.
Just a feeling. Hope I'm right.
have not played well, only down 6. need JR to step it up.
Junior needs to pull his head out of his $#%! Look at his stat line...
When shots aren't falling, teams look really bad. MU will shoot significantly better than 31% in the 2nd half.
They're 4-14 from three...and we're losing!
6 points is nothing. Plenty of time. Jae needs to get back to being Jae. Hopefully Junior will come around.
May have to break out the special MU beverage tankard for the second half...

I thought that run was happening when Blue was fouled on the break. O really was stagnant with both Junior and Jae on the bench.
This press is hurting us. And it isn't just Jae and junior being out for most of thie first half. We didn't look comfortable with that press from the tip off.
Let's hope buzz can pull them together for the second half.
Stay out of foul trouble!!!!!
And hit some dang shots. We look turrible
Gardner needs to be more active than he was in the first half
Its all about Jae - He is like the new dwade.
MU shot 31% and only down 6.
MU has 8 fouls, FL 7. So much for the fouls difference.
Difference in game was Junior's terrible play and MU not making some layups/putbacks.
Time for the two senior stars to take over in second half. Its their time or they go home, simple as that.

Quote from: MUMac on March 22, 2012, 10:29:39 PMGardner always looks gassed.
Yeah...when Len said Gardner is still limping and doesn't have hops, all I could think was that at 100% Gardner is still limping and doesn't have hops. He may not be at full strength, but his gangsta lean and lack of a vertical isn't an indicator of that.
My six year old says Go Marquette Go Marquette. Dad is watching the rest alone.
Putting my name in the "win" column. 6 points is nothing for this team. We play an average game, we win by 10. Keep playing this below average game, we still might win ... But it'll be a nail biter.
oh F*ck!
Well, we now shall see how important Cadougan is...
Vander misses layup, again. #4 on Junior. Just stupid.....
Not feeling good about this right now. Not feeling good in general... Kind of feel like I'm getting an ulcer.
I got gas too
We are in trouble if we don't speed this game up...I'm concerned about the pace of this game.
Florida playing with a swagger. We're just not settled.
Is that it? Just throw up 3's?
We need to trap and push up the tempo. No chance if we play at this pace. Need Jae to score some points in the paint as well.
They keep missing open shots like this and they deserve to go home. Something has to go down soon. Only basket was a goaltending call.
Its DJO time. Now or never.
Jae and djo get going or were done... That simple
Can we throw up some more ridiculous jumpers early in the shot clock please? That's working really well.

Don't buy the "shots will fall soon". If we continue to take bad shots they will continue to miss them.
I think it's time to unleash our own pressure defense and get the guys moving.
this Florida team IS NOT GOOD!!
If we could be remotely patient on offense we'd get easy looks all day long.

can we bow out of the tourney with dignity for once................... man painful when its not even a game
The rims on the right side are bigger than the ones on the left side.

Last 5 or 6 shots have been fine, just not hitting them. Buzz doing all he can with the TOs to get the team into it. Unfortunately he can't put himself in to hit the halfcourt shot.
Buzz is coaching his a$$ off tonight. He can only do so much when his team can't make a shot.
OMG YOU GUYS - we hit two straight free throws
let the will Buzz stay or will Buzz go officially begin...
I love Mayo right now

Vander appears to be the worst player in D1 basketball.
thanks for the insight
Finish Strong Warriors and no blaming refs
Out of TOs...gotta play smart if we're gonna have a shot. And hit some shots.

He might be our best bet to be the leader next year. Don't care if he will only be a sophomore.
At least Wisconsin lost.
This ain't over.
Lets Go Marquette
Press time. Not over.
The law of averages says we should make all of our shots now.
Clearly emotions are running high..... I don't want to wait either for MU to return to the promised land..but let's not look at this team with rose colored glasses only because this is "our" team. We have no players over 6'8, we have only two seniors, albeit the best players on our team. This is a good team, but not a great team. I am excited for the future of course, and I see things only getting better. Maybe we can pull this out only being down by six.
Get a stop. Get a score. Watch Gators crumble. Let's do this, Warriors!
Need a stop and a bucket.
Ted Valentine makes me miss Jim Burr
That might have done it. Lost the offensive rebound and then a 3. Ouch.......
That last possession was a dagger
Goodnight, ladies and gentlemen. Thanks for the memories, Jae & DJO
That's an elbow, we should get 2 FTs and the ball
Flagrant! 2 shots and the ball, has to be!
Intentional elbow? 2 shots and the ball?
Come on Ted....
OK - let me know when MU has a great team the...

BULLSH!T
Our foul doesn't count right?
Should negate the foul on us, call the flagrant on them, give us 2 shots and the ball.
Jamil flopped, nice work.
Horrendous. Horrendous.
Inadvertent doesn't matter!
unnatural carnal knowledge THESE REFS!
WTF
Bullshit!
Cause they sure have been fucking us all night.
Unbelievable. DJO barely touches a guy and gets whistled, Jamil gets shoved in the face to clear space and nothing. Give me Burr and Higgins over these asshats.
Bummer.
He elbowed him in the head!
They even reviewed the play!!!!!!!!
WTF? FU*K you TED
Just said to my wife, "I have no confidence that these officials will get the call right."
Sometimes it's just not your night.
My favorite play tonight was when Blue airballed a layup. He's great.
Great Season. DJO and Jae are much better than tonight.
Inadvertent is 2 shots and the ball. Intentional is 2 shots, the ball, and ejection. They've been clear on that all tournament. We were absolutely ass-raped on that call.
Two free throws and the ball!!!! Or not.
We got beat, guys.
How long until Midnight Madness? Thanks Jae, thanks DJO.
MU's "elite" PG had double the fouls than pts + assists (4 = 2 * (0 + 2))
DJO misses layup. Thats about it guys. Good run, but terrible performance to end the year. Just terrible.
Best of luck to DJO and Jae in trying to make the NBA. You two provided the MU faithful with great memories.
No we missed our shots and we deserved to lose.
I realize that we did not lose because of that non-flagrant call, but WTF? They looked at the fu*cking replay. By rule that is a flagrant 1
Motherfucker
Vander will transfer to UWM after this game...

Down 6, two to go, two shots and the ball.
And this is why I said a Big East title mattered. At the end of the year, we've come nowhere since last year. Really feel bad for DJO and Jae, they deserved better. Ugh.
Overall great season. We'll miss you Crowder and DJO. Way to make us proud with your hard work on the court. Go get 'em in the Association.
lol at least it would open up a scholarship slot for a juco player with fundamentals down
I'm gutted.
Super depressing for such a fantastic season to end with such a clunker.

Down 6, two to go, two shots and the ball.
Awful, awful, awful call but when a game comes down to hoping you get that call to have a chance at a comeback, you don't deserve to win.
How do you look at a replay and not call the flagrant 1? The rule is very clear. Should have been 2 free throws and posesion. Could have made it a 2pt. game. Instead Florida gets 2 free throws, lead is 8 and the game is over. Those refs should be suspended for that no call. Sucks we were in the position for a call like that to matter. Love what I saw from Todd in the second half. Huge upside there.

Lucky he didn't blow his knee out the way it folded under him.
Very good year, hard to say goodbye and wonder what could have been.....it was there for us but just couldn't throw it in the ocean (fom the beach)
Good luck to Jae and DJO, gonna be big shoes to fill but someone has to step-up, Mayo looks like a candidate for a break-out soph year
We can have a lot of regrets about this game. Florida didn't play well. But we weren't able to shoot. Crower and DJO missed a lot a wide open shots. Too many TO's also, especially in the beginning when we were playing much better.
Refs blew that call, but not why we lost the game. Jae was MIA tonight, but not gonna hold it against him. The team competed. Made it to the S16. All in all a good season.

Hate to say it, but disagree. This team was far better than last year's, yet did worst at MSG and no better in the NCAAs. Disappointing season at best.
The no-call had nothing to do with the loss. They played scared and settled for jumpshots 10 seconds into the clock instead of going at Young. Then on defense they jogged on switches and were lazy to close. Florida waited for shots and deserved to win.
I love Buzz, but this is yet another game where they couldn't execute halfcourt sets. I don't know if its the players or the 4-out-1-in flex thing doesn't work, but something has to change. They could have been far more effective using ball screens
Congrats to Coach Donovan
Shoot 20% and lose by 10.... Wow would of, should of, could of
