This has happened a lot under the bright lights to MU recently. I just want us to finally bust out a big performance against a very talented team like Florida. Do we get it done tonight? To me winning this game truly makes this season a success because an Elite 8 is right around this team's ceiling.
Define recently. You mean once?
Too young to die....this team is not laying an egg at any point. If they lose it will be to a better team, not a comparable or lesser team. I do not believe Florida is better team and we win this game going away. Said a ton but this team has aren't, swagger and a chip on its shoulder. I'm riding Buzz and the fellas for a couple more weeks.
I can't perform my ritual today, so yeah I think we might be in trouble.
Depends how well Crowder and Wilson hold down the middle.
Also can't have Rosario, Boyton, and co. going off. Real tough and usually teams with prima donnas pick up their D in the tourney.

Last year versus UNC and back to back years to Louisville in the prestigious BET.
Too late for national TV. No egg
Those eggs are far more tolerable than the Stanford and Mizzou outs of years past. But get your head checked and have some faith! I believe, I believe, I believe that we will win!
Goose you been singing their praises for awhile. Really hope you're right brother. This program has been bound to do something "special".....been 9 years.
I'm always a little wary of games like these. I hope we do not pull out dudes like the Providence, Kansas, Michigan State and North Carolina fiascoes that MU has endured in the NCAAs in past years. I'm hoping we channel the ghosts of the Kansas State ('77), UNC-Charlotte ('77), Kentucky ('94), Pitt ('03), Kentucky ('03), and Syracuse ('11) an get another big victory tonight.
As long as no foul trouble, I don't see a problem.
I always have the fear that it might happen, but I really feel that, win or lose, this team will fight like the Warriors they are.

Heretic!! - Mods, can we have this heretic banned?
(what do you mean, teal?)
Doris...if Buzz sticks around (which I am leaning very heavily it will happen) this is just the start. The foundation has been built and filling in the pieces year in and year out gets easier. I believe this team can win NC, but more importantly, be a top ten program for years to come. If Buzz keeps recruiting future NBA player, this team has five, the future is big time bright.

How typical.
I would just hope that even if we lose, people keep some perspective and not jump all over whoever may have a tough game. The big picture is these guys have busted their tails and put together a heck of a season. Anything can happen in a one and done situation, but I don't think the season ends tonight. Go Warriors!
Still Warriors...well put and agree completely. I only will be pissed if somehow we lost Buzz and this was out one chance. Keep Buzz and we will be better in two years than we are now. This season is another step in right direction for the long haul.
I think (and hope) it will be the other way around. Florida hit 53% in their last 2 games while hitting 46% on the season, however, they also have been cold from 3 and are normally great there. As for MU, laid an egg in shooting last game at 38%. Jae and DJO totaled 2-11 from 3. Vander was 1-5 for FG's, as was Jamil. Mayo was 2-7. I don't believe MU has had many poor shooting games back-to-back this year. So, I'm actually thinking we come out hot tonight....

What a wonderful opening post!!
absolutely worried.

Same here. I think everyone's expectation for this year has been Elite 8 all year long.
Might be a matter of coaching -- Billy D. is obviously a good coach, but I have faith in Buzz fo sho.
Petrified, yes.
Would Florida hitting their 3s, we don't / we turn the ball over = double digit hole to start the game surprise anyone? It should not.
Florida hasn't seen a perimeter defense like what MU played last week. Keep that up, and Florida will be so far out of its element that a mediocre offense performance by MU will be all it takes.
I however still think tonight is a shoot out that goes to OT. MU still wins on a Crowder 3 at the buzzer.
So I am the only guy on here trying to figure out how to pay for trip to NOLA I can't afford?
Marquette by 10+

Did pretty darn well on CBS twice last week.
For me, the season already has been a blast. Playing with house money now, and I'm betting on our lads!!
I also echo what others have said about keeping things in perspective. They want to play well and here's hoping they do, but it's only a basketball game. It's not life.
Go Marquette!
Always worried. At this point, any team can beat any other. But I heard Thunderstruck on the radio driving home from work so I'll take that as a good omen.
Goose, take it out of the MU tuition fund!

I'll sleep better if they lose, than I will if they win.
Unfortunately Goose still has the high school tuition fund. Sometimes you have to make stupid decisions in life. In 1994 I found $2500.00 under a mattress on way to Knoxville for S16. The state of TN definitely was a tad greener after my trip.

Would MU coming back from a double-digit first half deficit to win convincingly surprise anyone? It should not ;)
And Goose, you're not alone. But between OT drying up, a wedding, and a honeymoon, I will find a way to afford NOLA if we are playing beyond Saturday.

No. I'm currently unemployed and I'm thinking about buying a train ticket from Chicago to NOLA. I'll figure the rest out when I get there.
We will be driving if we make it. Train might be better idea.

I'm hoping UW and MU goes to the FF so an airline adds some flights from MKE, MSN or ORD. Cheapest flight I can find right now is over $800, over $1000 if you don't want to connect in Anchorage.
Hotels in d/t Nola are running $400/night min. Hopefully KY gets knocked out so demand starts dropping. Those hillbillies have no control when it comes to financial discipline and drive up costs for everyone. Bastards.
I'm changing the oil and brakes in my car this weekend and praying the FF is MU, UW, Ohio and X... for economic purposes, not matchups.

F Digger. Did I mention, F Digger?
Speaking of affording NOLA does anyone remember what the price was for Final Four tickets? I signed up for tickets should we make it to the Final Four but my invoice just says $0.
I need to know so I make sure I have enough money in that account!

You can legally get hammered on a train, not so much in a car.

I'll be on that train with ya.
Yes.....we will lay a GIANT egg....pick out the offspring parts....mash and mix it with spicy Phoenix salsa and chewy gator bits...eat it...than crap it out on the head of Florida...
Go MU!!!!!!!!!!!
Len Elmore is an idiot. Just said UL has beaten MU both times they have met this year. Hello Len? We killed UL in January.
Dieng is just wrecking havoc tonight on MSU. Havoc, all night long.
We can't do much worse than MSU. This game is PAINFUL to watch. The refs just screwed up a foul call on MSU...uglu ugly all the way around.

Pretty much called it. This game could have been had.
I'm going out drinking.
Well, I got the part about us shooting like crap.
Sorry guys....I really believed we were in great position tonight. Great season and enjoyed debating with all of you this season. Dream big and cross your fingers we have Buzz for years to come.
I guess you were right
