Title: ESPN West Region Predictions
Post by: MisterJaylenBrownMU on March 22, 2012, 10:19:28 AM
WEST REGION (Phoenix)

Jay Bilas: Michigan State over Marquette
Eamonn Brennan: Michigan State over Marquette
Fran Fraschilla: Michigan State over Marquette
John Gasaway: Michigan State over Marquette
Doug Gottlieb: Florida over Michigan State
Andy Katz: Michigan State over Marquette
Jason King: Marquette over Michigan State
Dana O'Neil: Michigan State over Marquette
Miles Simon: Marquette over Michigan State
Jay Williams: Marquette over Michigan State
Myron Medcalf: Michigan State over Marquette
Joe Lunardi: Michigan State over Marquette

That's 11 out of 12 picking Marquette tonight.  Getting a little nervous already...  I'm hoping that Marquette doesn't dig their traditional 15-point hole.  I don't think my fragile heart could take that.

Draymond Green vs. Jae Crowder would be the greatest one on one matchup of the entire basketball season.  Hope we get to see it.

As annoying and arrogant as Gottlieb can be, I do give him respect for not being afraid of having different opinions and standing by them. He's been all about Florida.

We need a quick start and cannot afford long scoring slumps. I think with this group of players the past few days distractions are going to work in our favor. We have positioned ourselves for a long run and am very confident the guys come out with chip on their shoulders.

I actually really like Gottlieb. He has shown that he has been able to transition from a strictly CBB analyst to a host with educated opinions on all sports.

I kind of wish that they all would have picked Florida so that we could still be considered the underdogs. But, I guess you can't be considered that if you're a 3 seed playing a 7 seed.

If Florida starts draining 3's from the get-go I hope Buzz will be willing to use an early time out to settle the team and make adjustments.

Wide open looks, absolutely.  If they are throwing up contested prayers and they happen to fall, gotta think he lets them play through it.

Have never, ever bought into that.  If the players watch ESPN and see "experts" all picking them and think to themselves "Well, we've got this one in the bag," we're recruiting the wrong kids.
