Unwilling seems to be a strong word. Something is fishy here. TC played this as well as you can, he stood by his player in the "testing" process, he used his contacts etc. Not sure what more Crean could have done, but there seems to be more to this story.
Could be some bad feeling fallout on behalf of DJ because of some things that supposedly came out of the MU Athletic Department to Orlando Camp officials regarding that DJ would only stay in the draft if he was guaranteed a first round pick. As a result he was not a "charter" invitee to Orlando-----coming in as a fillin doesn't exactly help his hype or his confidence.
What appeared in the DraftExpress was a comment that said something "possibly" came out of the MU athletic office and who was the source for this report? I never saw "supposedly" or "probably" mentioned in that article. People can assume all day.
Why would Crean sabotage Dominic's NBA pre-draft camp chances, yet help Dominic set up workouts with NBA teams and get in touch with NBA scouts to get an honest impression of Dominic's chances? Doesn't make any sense and Crean know's that if he did this, it could somehow get back to Dominic and you could kiss goodbye Crean's chances at other kids who they are recruiting who want to get to the NBA.

Obviously, DJ doesn't have it.
DJ was indeed at a disadvantage coming into Orlando not as a charter member but as a fillin----this after everyone thought he was a "slam dunk" to get a first class invite. ----blow to his confidence and to his NBA standing-----not to mention the distraction that last minute travel arrangements and the actual travel itself had to be with such short notice.
His first day by all accounts was a disaster (to be expected considering) ----however since that first day he has gotten better each day------today, the 4th day, was his best showing yet ----that is according to Draft Express!

77ncaachamp-----you left out several of the more positive comments on DJ by Draft Express (see above).
As near as I can determine he had 8 assists and only 1 TO in the four days.
Problem is that posts or writeups imply not only was shooting not up to snuff but he didn't make others better which is what a true pt guard does. He is a hell of an athelete but still has a ways to go to be a strong PT guard. He has always been able to score at will prior to college and still needs to adjust when he cant.
