I wonder if we are an older team? A couple of years makes a big difference at this age and level of play. I think one of the factors in us being able to come back from large deficits was confidence borne of knowing that we are a bit older, bigger and stronger than our opponent. If this is true, it can only help us the rest of the way. You know, the big brother spotting the little brother points, secure in the knowledge that he can take control any time he wants?
kenpom has us at 1.67 yrs experience and FLA with 1.45. so we are slightly older class wise. if you mean like todd mayo being old and rosario a transfer and red shirts and stuff and actual age thats too much work for me to go quantify.
Rosario's only a junior? It seems like he's been around since we first joined the BEast.
(I know a year off for the transfer, but still...)
He played major minutes as a frosh, and we were hearing his name the year before that as the "savior" of rutgers. So yeah, he's been in the news now for 5 years...
I think comebacks are due to toughness and conditioning. BYU camback in their play in game for thses factors. The otehr team jumped all over them and expended all of their energy and just plain wilted. Same thing ahppens when some opponents jump out on MU. They are giving 110% effort and that eventually saps their energy.
