Just turned on my recorded version so I haven't gotten to the interview yet.
He was good. Wilbon and Tony K clearly like him, and they had good rapport. Buzz looked good. Not as rundown as he was last week.
1. Importance of win over Murray?
"Hard to get such emotional moments in your career. Wanted to share with family. Humble. Maybe should have contained emotions better in post game presser but didnt say anything he thought was wrong"
2. Players never having been loved?
"Players at this level didn't have same early life experiences as [Buzz]. Most of them only shown love in relation to how good they are at bball. Kids should be loved regardless of talent level. Coaches have responsibility and need to teach about bball and love. *repeated Faith, Hope, Love*"
3. Dancing on the court?
"Fans had every right to be mad. Apologized to every email, letter, Huggins, etc. Unprofessional emotional response. Not correct representation of program or school"
Tony responded: "Don't be too hard on yourself. Al used to drive motorcycle right onto court."
4. Expectations from Florida
"Great respect for Donovan. Peaking/playing at high level. Lots of ball screens/transition points. Lots of 3s and dunks. Put lots of pressure on a defense. Pressure up and down the court."
"THanks for having me on. Glad Wilbon could grace us with his presence cause last year I had Blackistone" - Tony and Mike loved that
Off camera Buzz really wanted to know where Wilbon gets his pocketsquares
Hard guy not to like. I like him better when he is relaxed and not in game mode. He is good interview and will see plenty of TV time over the next decade. Unlike many I hope I see that dance every time he is interviewed. For whatever reason I really dig the dance.
