Look this is great national exposure for MU with Buzz on all these radio and t.v. shows. However, before we played UNC last year it was the same scenario with Buzz all over the place and people talking us up. I just wonder if it takes that chip off our shoulder some and we come out and lay another egg against a very talented team in Florida that has 4 Burger boys. We just haven't shown that we can beat a big name program under the bright lights yet and have struggled when in that "hunted" role. Thoughts?
Maybe it's just me, but I think the level of exposure this year is less than half what it was last year. Though, some of that may have to do with the Peyton love-fest going on this week.
This time last year, you could go online and find three or four "fresh" (i.e. published in the last 24 hours) articles written solely on Marquette... this year, I'm struggling to find one right now.
Let's see ... it's a Tuesday ... so that means we worry about getting too much publicity. As opposed to Monday or Wednesday when we worry we're not getting enough publicity. Oy.
We got a ton last year because of our seed. I think we are getting as much as everyone else considering everyone in the sweet 16 gets a ton during this week annually.
