This is the big time boys.  Buy your tickets, support your team. No wonder you are asking Buzz to stay.  1,100 tickets and they aren't sold out yet?  My God   :o

No wonder you guys are worried Buzz might be wanting to leave with support like that.  Terrible. 1,100 tickets and you can't sell those.  What is this, your second Sweet 16 in a generation.  You have to do better.  Represent.

Perhaps some MU alum can't afford to go - after all our college educations weren't subsidized by the state and tax payers...as was yours...which is why 50,000 kids enroll at a state school like Florida or Wisconsin compared to 9,000 at a school like Marquette, Georgetown, Gonzaga, Xavier, etc.

Whatever the case, you have done a great job at representing Florida Gator fans as the pinnacle of douche.

Speaking of support ... 2011 attendance, according to the NCAA:

11. Marquette        15, 586
42. Florida              10, 186

Way to represent.

Word, I'm in the same position (nh).  Waiting to hear back by noon tomorrow.  When I read 79Warrior's post I figured he/she has a view to the requests that have come in so far.

I suppose we won't know the specific seat assignments until we pick 'em up in person?

Perhaps.  I'll be there and get tickets one way or another, just would prefer they come from MU.

I threw my name in the ring yesterday for tix.  Do we have any idea where the seats are?  Even upper vs. lower bowl?

Also flights to Phoenix from Chicago are absurdly expensive. That's what held me back.

On the web-site it said no request after 5pm on Monday. They would be filling the slots today.

I would still call the ticket office.

Rock, MU actually has 1500. Emails to those that applied through regular channels yesterday will go out by noon today if last week's procedure is in place.  They'll give you Will Call instructions.  Typically, you'll be able to pick them up at the team hotel on Wednesday evening or at the stadium's ticket office day of game.  They must be in you or your spouse's name and you must present photo ID.  Have fun; it's an awesome experience.

And there will likely be both upper and lower bowl seats.  Your seat assignment is totally driven by your contributions to Marquette.

Florida's arena holds 12,000.  Your arena holds 19,200.   We are at 85% capacity.  You are at 81%.  Florida, where there is good weather and things to do all the time.  Milwaukee, where there is nothing to do from November until April.

Way to represent.

And if you're building held 19,200, UF's attendance would be ..... 10,186. A larger building isn't going to help if you can't fill up the one you've got.

Unlike Gainesville, Milwaukee is a real city with a wide range of sports and entertainment options, including an NBA team, another Division I program and a pro hockey team. And, one of the great cities of the world is a short car drive away.
In Gainesville you've got the University of Florida and ..... um, the University of Florida.

Keep visiting.

Would you really call the Admirals a "pro" hockey team?

True, it is a college town.  I'm quite aware of what a real city looks like.  I live in Miami.  We have a NBA team, NFL team, NHL team, MLB team, DI athletics.  You do realize that your comment is ignorant at best.  We get almost 90,000 fans for a football game.  This, despite having only the University of Florida.  I'm sure you also realize that the basketball team has standing room only for a number of games and pushes the attendance beyond capacity to about 12,300.  If we had 15,000 capacity, those games against Kentucky and such would draw 15,000 and drive up the attendance average.  Your comment that it would be 10,186 defies you put any intellectual heft behind your answer.
