besides playing a stellar PG.........

Ok that's it....Junior for SOG. Between his hard nosed play, keeping the AA PG in check, his drives....add getting Devante in the game and firing Jae up by staring him down and telling him "now or never" to send Jae into overdrive....Junior really did run that game.
As I was watching the game with my friends and Davante went in, I told them I thought it was a great coaching move by Buzz. So props to Junior! Maybe he has a coaching career in his future.
Has Buzz explained why Devante was sitting so long in the first place?
Davante was sitting because the pace was too fast for him to handle in the first half. He got beat back on defense multiple times and it just wasn't working. Cut to the second half, the pace slowed, and it was his time to shine!
Also, defending Murray State's ball screens was the main focus on defense, and Gardner's knee may not have allowed him to do that as well.

Buzz stated Murray state sets more ball screens than any team they have played all year. And while i love devante he cant defend a ball screen even before the injury.
I cant help but wonder if maybe Buzz might try to zone at times the next 2 years when Devante is in
