Title: Where's the love for DJO?
Post by: 77fan88warrior on March 18, 2012, 12:37:11 AM
I realize Jae is filling the stat sheet but DJO makes so many baskets when we go in a drought. DJO is able to create his own shot and drive to the basket when things get tough. I really think DJO has a better chance to go to the show than Jae due to his ability to create his own shot. DG might be our 2nd most important offensive weapon because he demands double teaming, scores points, and opens things up for the rest of the players when in half court possessions.
I think Jae is our most improved player due to ability to finish at hoop this year and possibly our smartest player offensively.
At the end of the day, I would vote DJO and Jae for co-mvps.

There is no lack of appreciation for what either one of our two seniors have done this year. Both players are going to end up in the Association.

I absolutely love DJO, but you said it in your original post: Jae is oor most improved player. Everyone expected both Jae and DJO to be very good this year (and they have both been amazing), but I don't think anyone expected Jae to be BE POY.

There is tons of love for DJO but Jae has been sooo much better is is a great surprise.

Love DJO, but the run Jae has been on naturally draws a lot of attention.  Let's hope he goes crazy in the 16 game and draws the attention to himself.

I thought DJO was the player of the game yesterday.

It's a sign of maturity that when he is outside shot isn't falling he still finds ways to score points. He had quite a few really tough drives and finishes yesterday. That steal (not sure who picked it)/ensuing lay-up by DJO at the end of the 1st half yesterday could have been a 4 or 5 point swing.

When you can go from the 3 point line to the rim without dribbling or traveling you're super human. Well done darius.  ;D

And when time is running down on the shot clock, DJO consistently can create an opportunity, get off a good shot or get fouled.  That is inaluable when playing good defensive teams and our half-court is not working.
