Jae is obvious, no question about that, but I am going to give a shout out to Buzz. First, he kept the team focused when they struggled in with their shot. Didn't get rattled down by 5 with 8 to go and the crowd starting to make a difference. And what a brilliant substitution with Gardner the last 8 of the game. I think Buzz was concerned with how much Gardner had left and utilized him brilliantly.
Finally, that game was won by defense. To all the Buzz critics on d - suck that one! What a brilliant D. The 2nd half and more specifically the last 8 minutes were a thing of beauty to watch.

From another angle, you're welcome for the win. I should be SOTG. Feel free to use the picture under my posting name as the picture for SOTG. I said at halftime I was leaving the Game Chat to change up the karma. Stuck with it to the end. I'm why we really won the game.
Assist to Slowstart for being so dang annoying and making me really want to leave.
;)
Slowstart did not last much longer after you left. ;) Thanks 'topper!

Haha perfect.
Gardner totally changed the completion of the game. Jae get the SOG, but Gardner was the difference maker tonight. Also, totally impressed w/ Buzz in how he used Gardner. Knew he could only use him for Xmins and waited until the right time to utilize him. So Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As good as the other players have played, I do not think we win either tournament game, if Gardner could not play.

+1
gardner was a sure difference maker. i dont know the exact numbers and im just going off of what i remember seeing in real time, but they were doing pretty well in the offensive boards until gardner stepped up.
granted, jae grabbed his fair share of rebounds, it might not be so without Big D taking up some space in there.

All those games this year where MU got out to really poor starts, did you do something similar? You just might be a karma megatron.

As true as this is, it doesn't necessarily make Gardner SOTG for either game.
Jae is obviously the SOTG today, but there's no denying the impact had when Gardner got involved in the second half. His numbers won't show it, but the momentum shift he brought with him was profound. I don't know that we overcome that wave of emotion in Murray St.'s favor without him.

I love that we just about never, ever left Canaan, no matter what kind of defense we were playing. He had to work like a dog for his 16 points.
Buzz has become an outstanding game coach. Anybody who doubts that hasn't been paying attention.
