We still need to win. There is no house money.
It was only natural we had a little bit of "happy to be here" last year. Will not be that way Thursday. We'll be favored and still hungry.
Not yet, Baby!!

Have to expect elite 8. Anything less is a disappointment. Only when we reach new Orleans are we paying with the house's money.

Could already see that in the team's "celebration" following the game. Last year everyone was jumping and hugging each other. This year there were fist pumps, high fives, and looks of killers out there. They're not satisfied.

Depends. Florida can be really good (they can also be really bad). If we come out and play a good game but just get beat, I wouldn't consider it a disappointment.
We certainly have the ability to do it though.
Could wind up playing Norfolk for the 3rd time. Who woda thunk.
I say Double Down, then play with House $
The only place I'm playing with house money is Harrah's on Canal Street.
House money for a 3 seed is the Final Four. The real tournament starts Thursday night.
I'll agree with house money.
What was MU picked at the beginning of the year, 9th in the BE? (?) ..
Overjoyed we made it to the S16; completely satisfied, anything more is gravy.
Goose said Elite 8 or better after UNC loss last year and stuck with it after every bump in the road. This team with some luck can be dancing in New Orleans. No house money for this team.
Love this conversation we are having, and the fact we are back in the sweet sixteen is surreal. But let's do it big. Let's get back to the final four. Two more games to win.
Let's keep dancin!
House money? Man, only if you're content with this result. The last 5 minutes of the game should have shown anyone who was watchin' that there is no quit, but a lotta heart, especially with comin' back from a 5 point deficit in a hostile arena, against a team who has beaten some pretty good folks.
Look at the remainer slate in front of MU and figure out if New Orleans is in the plans. Real house money comes after Championship Monday. I just not glad to be here, I want to win it.

Your expectations for this year's Marquette team are based entirely on how
someone at the season's start said Marquette
might finish in the Big East?
Because
someone or a handful of
someones said Marquette
could finish eighth or ninth or whatever, you are
pleased that Marquette finished higher and, therefore, you are "completely satisfied?"
"Anything more is gravy?"
Marquette is playing ball-busting basketball and you are
ready to pack it in and head back to Milwaukee?
Could this be demonstrative of the "inferiority complex" that
some at other schools say plagues
some at Marquette.
Surprising, very surprising.
I am very proud of Marquette University and of its basketball team. My expectations for both are very high.
No compromise.

Picked 5th by Media, 6th by Coaches, but most important we were picked 4th by Cracked Sidewalks. Though clearly all of them underrated us.
I really like gravy!

We're playing with house money AFTER Jae and DJO have cut down the nets in New Orleans.
We're playing with house money AFTER the parking meters on Wells Street (assuming there are any today) are ripped off their posts again as 10,000 students head for the lake/
We're playing with house money when Jae and DJO join the greats in our ring of honor.
Until then, it's our money and the sky is the limit
If we were facing Mizzou next, I'd be happy with a second Sweet 16 appearance. However, thanks to Norfolk State, there is no reason why we shouldn't expect to beat Florida or Norfolk State (for the 3rd time in a season) and go to the Elite 8. So no, we still have work to do.
We have (knock on wood) a very realistic chance of making the Final 4 if we can get to the Elite 8 and play our best basketball against (most likely) Louisville or Michigan State.

Just thinking about all the potential matchups is enough to make my blood pressure start creeping up... maybe I need to find some anxiolytics before the next game! Aye!
