Greg Anthony love, "Marquette best team, Crowder best player so far"
Just heard that as well and wanted to post. Posted in game thread cause i didn't know where it should go:
CBS studio analyst crew said MU was best team of the day by far. "sneaky good" phrase was used. Multiple guys also agreed Jae Crowder best player of the day and will be one of the best in the tournament - "match-up nightmare", "nearly unstoppable"
awesome! Thanks for getting more of the quote.
Excellent for Jae to be getting the props he deserves! As he goes, so go the Warriors
Frankly, I think our tandem of Crowder and DJO is one of the best in the tournament, not just "so far." IMO, we have some pretty glaring weaknesses in JC and VB and one of those guys is going to have to play better going forward. I don't want to hear anything about A/TO ratio either. Neither one was awful, but the drop off from DJO/Crowder is enormous. Wilson could also stand to pick it up.
Tendency in first game of a National Tourn for underclassmen to look to the Seniors for leadership. VB and JC will be just fine, DG and JO played solid and Mayo got a huge boost in confidence. Which game were you watching?

Just fine based on what? I know exactly what game I was watching. And they're all on film for our opponents to see, too. Do you think teams are going into games against us targeting Crowder, DJO or even Wilson? It's Junior and Blue and if they don't make better decisions with the ball, we are going home. How is that even debatable?
Jay Wright last night was gushing over Crowder and DJO while doing some analysis for CBS. It was great stuff.
What did Barkley say? I value his analysis the most.

Jay Wright doing it again tonight after Colorado/UNLV. "Crowder respected by all coaches for good, hard play with no trash talk." "DJO and Crowder one of best duos in country."
All analysts picked MU over Murray St. Wright: "Marquette is just a better, nicer (?) version of Murray"
That is why I am dreaming big. Too many experts love this to team for them not to have a long run. Far from a perfect team but Sr. Leadership goes a long way in March.

Nice to hear from another Big East coach that the Louisville throat slash was just emotion getting the better of Jae.
Anyone hear anything about Crowder shaking hands with (BYU coach) Dave Rose towards the end of the game? Seemed like a show of mutual respect.
Crowder and DJO were outstanding, Gardner too.

They showed the handshake on TV.

Yeah, saw that. Crowder was walking back up the court near the BYU sideline, he reached out and they exchanged a quick handshake during the gameplay...you could tell Crowder had earned Rose's respect.
