I'm sure they both have early jitters but nothing to write home about for either team.
Who do we want to win this game?
don't know much about either team except Murray St. can light it up from 3. I guess CSU being the lower seed wouldn't mind seeing them.
Colorado state we'd run them out of the gym, plus they have no siaze

Who do we want to win this game?
Murray state is 3-0 against NCAA tourney teams (So. Miss, Memphis, and St Marys). CSU is 6-5.
I think Murray state is still unproven.

Marquette
should beat either team. More talent. More experience. Better coach.

Yeah, I was just going to say, watching this game, murray state is clearly the more talented team, and Marquette is clearly better than both of them
My hunch is Murray St. is more hype, and we should handle either of these teams. But still would rather it be against Co. St. 3 pnt shooting teams can always be dangerous.
Colorado State looks so much like Vermont, uniforms are the same color, players are the same color, both teams play the same style.
Plus Buzz painted his garage with CSU colors.....
need to beat BYU first bros...

Maybe so, but it does not mean we win. NCAA tourney games can be pretty frustrating. The more talented team is nice to say, but it does not mean a win. I have a nasty feeling MU gets snakebitten in Louisville.

Yup. I am honestly more worried by BYU and their size.
Murray St just won't go away. Great perimeter shooting.
I had Isaiah Canaan ranked as 14th best in the country in Value Add, and Donte Poole as 64th, so that's a pretty good 1-2 guard punch with experience (Junior All-American and Senior). For Colorado State, I've got this Pierce Hornung as the 71st best in the country, so he is real but have to believe Crowder could handle him.
I think we have to root for the upset to avoid a semi-road game in Kentucky against Murray State.
What's the Murray State crowd like?
Crowd is very pro-Murray St. - sounds like a home game for them.

People need to relax. It's sickening to me, how paranoid and worried MU fans are all the time. It always seems no one has any faith in them, and don't believe they are as good as what they are. I'm tired of that. It happens every year. Could BYU beat them?? Sure, anything is possible, but it's more likely I get elected POTUS in the next election.
If MU loses in Louisville, than In all honesty, perhaps Buzz should come under a lot of scrutiny. there is ZERO reason given the draw they have that they shouldn't be in the Sweet 16, minimum.
I picked CSU in my bracket. So I will be rooting for them.
We should be able to destroy either one of these teams and eat their livers.
Its been a great season for MU and could end today. If it doesn't, it would undermine the entire season. Those of us that religiously follow the program and this team, have every right to be nervous about it and that anxiety can manifest into negativity. It happens to all fans of every team and does not mean that we don't believe in the team. It just means that we care deeply about MU baksetball and that's nothing to apologize for.

I get that, because i care deeply too, I just don't worry about opponents like BYU or Murray State. I worry about North carolina etc. This team is uber talented, and all they have to do is make sure the bus doesn't crash on the way to the arena, and they will be playing next weekend. If they aren't.....than I will be done with MU BB. Yes, that's right. It will be too disappointing and inexcusable to me for them to lose in Louisville.
They have been given a lottery ticket, all they have to do is cash it in.

Because a team with size and two great players as well as shooters scares me more than two teams smaller than us..........means I need to relax? Take your own advice.

Too funny!!! ;D :D
CSU's coach is either on happy pills or he is the most laid back coach I've ever seen in a tournament halftime interview.
i forgot we get to stare at that gross sideline reporter for some of the games. i just lost my appetite
leslie visser?
I think we're way to athetic and skilled for either of these teams. Crowder will have a field day.
BYU does not have the speed to stay with us.

What size?? North Carolina has size, Kansas has size, Ohio State has size. BYU has a couple players not much bigger than MU's tallest guys. If you are worried about this game, than you don't have a lot of faith in the team. As i said, just show up to the arena, and it's a "W".

marbles, going, going, gone....
The only "size" that any of MSU, CSU or BYU has is either a non-contributor or in a role-playing capacity.
But then, I don't consider anything under 6-10 "size." And anyone who has paid attention to MU basketball over the past 4 years should agree.
6-9 power forwards MU can handle; 7-0 centers are a different story.

Yeah, she's way past her prime. Like a legit 20 years past. We have the AARP announcing crew with Lundquist (71), Raftery (68), and Visser (58). No hate on Raftery though.

This +1,0000. I think people are so used to MU being "small" that they forget MU also has a couple guys in the 6'7-6'9" range. They can match that. UCONN's size wasn't a problem, and they have guys that are almost 7'0".

That Daniel dude has an EPIC afro. Great hustle.
Somewhat peculiar officiating so far this half... Was it similar in the 1st half?

Dude, it's the friggin' NCAA Tournament. Of COURSE everyone is on edge. There's no tomorrow if you lose. So right now, it's a bunch of "what if we play bad" worry. It's natural.
looks like Murray just pulled away.
"Basket GOOD..." --Verne Lundquist.
OOF. Try to keep up, big guy.
Murray State is not playing like a 6 seed. 30-1 and they got a 6? Should have been a 4.
Murray State is off to an 18-2 run to start the 2nd half.
What is the deal with all the slipping (mostly by CSU) .. is the floor that slick? MU should put on some cleats.
Murray St 6-17 from the line
It's going to be a home game for BYU today. Those Murray St fans are going to stick around and you know they're not going to root for us...
18-7 foul margin in favor of Murray St
Murray with the win. Much better second half played by them. They don't scare me much at all based on that game though.
Although, I'm glad they won. I'd hate to "pull a wisconsin" and knock off all higher seeds to an elite eight or something.
CSU's guards were brutal today. Way too many unforced errors.
Prediction: Marquette 84, BYU 67
CSU really does not pass the eye test for an NCAA team. A number of more worthy teams in the NIT. Murray started slow keeping it close for a bit.
