Title: Thrilled we didn't know who we were playing until tonight
Post by: Hoopaloop on March 13, 2012, 10:08:39 PM
In a strange way, I'm glad we had to wait.  The staff and team get to see Iona against NCAA competition on the big stage, not just game tape of them playing Manhattan or Fairfield.  This should be an eye opening experience for our guys to see what kind of firepower the Gaels have on the national setting.

...if they blow it they also could see first hand what happens when you don't play 40 minutes of good ball against a tourney team.

True.  Also shows that if we slow it down, play composed basketball and move the ball around, Iona can be had.  I wouldn't run with these guys.

For that to be the case, they'd have to actually watch the game. Per DJOs twitter, he's not watching the game and is looking for suggestions of movies to watch... I don't necessarily care, just relaying info.
