Title: A little bracket help
Post by: GoMarquette32 on March 11, 2012, 11:02:02 PM
This is where I'm stuck on my bracket, just tell me the winners outnofnthese matchups. UCONN vs Kentucky?(gonna be a great game after the MU game in Louisville) Wichita state vs IU? Xavier Duke? Michigan State vs Louisvile? Winner of that vs Missouri? Florida State OSU? GTown vs Kansas? Alabama vs Creighton?

Thanks

You may as well just send a few blank brackets to scoopers and have them fill them out completely for you.

One of the following will happen:

UCONN sends the hillbillies home in Round 3

-or-

Richmond, Santa Clara, Coppin St, Hampton, Norfolk St

-or-

Three Big East teams will go strollin' into Beantown next week

-or-

MUScoop will be riddled with drunken postings from scoopers dans Rue Bourbon at the end of the month.

I was just answering the question of those games the original poster answered, not who I thought would actually be in those games...

Just my guesses, but I think UK has a better team than UConn, even if similarly talented. Indiana and Wichita State is tough, but IU can get red hot from 3. Duke over Xavier. Definitely like Louisville over MSU, the Cards are regrettably reminding me why I picked them to win the Big East this year and they are the team I fear most in our region. Kansas just has too much for GT, and Alabama's dinosaur pace and suffocating defense takes out Creighton.

Except, the Cards also have a BAD habit of playing well to get to the tourney, and then not playing well at all once they get there...

True, but Pitino's no stranger to the Final Four. I think losing a guy like Jennings was addition by subtraction, and I think they benefit from not leaning on one star like Knowles. I think they advance at least to the Sweet 16, and with some confidence (plus Dieng down low to help contain Green) they could make a nice little run.

Also, four of the last five Big East tourney champs have advanced to at least the Elite Eight.
