At least according to this.....Yuck.

The Iona/BYU winner plays the 2nd day game Thursday in Louisville, probably around 2:30/2:45 vs. Marquette.
Nm
Too bad, but not surprising. BTW, this guy was the first on twitter with Crowder winning POY.

Really? Wow, that's a quick turnaround for the winner of the play-in game - they play at 9pm on Tuesday the 13th.
Gotta think that helps MU.
Looks like we have conflicting information... 11:15 or 2:30
It's not 230 it would be 130
will we play at the same time Saturday as well?
Kinda presumptuous, aina?
Whichever it is, MU is going to be in the afternoon session. Not a chance they move UK out of prime time.

Don't jinx it!
OTOH - The power of positive thinking! ;D

230 on cbs with lundquist and raftery calling it.
I can't go to the Thursday game, but can go to the Saturday game. So I'm just trying to figure out which tickets to buy.
Also, we freaking better win in the first round.
Can we stop saying 2:30 it is 1:30 OUR TIME. 2:30 is the game time if you are in loserville

All of the networks will keep things simple and use God's Time...you know, EST.
It's 230 est. Calm down.
Still, the winner of the BYU/Iona game will have their game end at 11:30pm Tuesday, make the trek to Louisville late night, practice Wednesday, then play less than 39 hours after the first game ended. Should help MU.
On espn.com, this is what they have our game time as.
http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/schedule?date=20120315
Like ESPN, Marquette site also says 2:45 ET.
Fact is, we are the second game that day in LVille, so we will tip off approx 25 mins after the Murray St-Colorado St game.

From a scheduling perspective, that's a mistake. If I'm doing scheduling, I'd sooner have the 1/2 seeds playing right off the bat. They're going to destroy someone. When was the last time a 1/16 was actually competitive, where you really thought they had a shot? Maybe Lehigh against Kansas a few years ago, but even that was never really that close in the second half. All the good games happen with the closer seeds. Since 2002, not a single 1/16 has been decided by single-digits. And that's what they want in prime time, a game that's probably going to be decided 10 minutes into the first half?
I know...UK is a draw, Anthony Davis, all that, but if you were doing programming, wouldn't you rather have the mid-major potential media darling playing in that prime time spot? The team everyone just watched 2 days ago in Dayton? Putting any 1/16 in the prime time spot makes no sense...people usually only watch a butchering if it's their team.
By putting UK at night, they also get the UConn 8/9 game. So having UConn and Kentucky in primetime is a no brainer for CBS when you know there is a national following.

I don't follow. Why would that put the 8/9 game at night? There are two openning sessions. One afternoon, one evening. From that, the winners of each session play in one session on Saturday. UK could play in the afternoon on Friday and evening on Saturday.

Don't the winners from Thursday play Saturday? All Man In Gold was saying was that Kentucky and UConn have huge national fan bases and as such have the late night slot.
