Whats everyone doing for tickets and hotel arrangements in Louisville? Do we know what the team hotel is? What section are most people sitting in?
sleeping in the bluegrass and scalping tix
I'm personally stayin in my hometown about 3 hrs west. If you can't find a room in Louisville get one in Lexington, it's only 45 mins away. Go to 4th street live for some good bar hoppin in Louisville.
Will tix be hard to get because of Kentucky being there?
No, tix won't be hard to get. Kentucky fans could give a sh!t about what's going on in our region. Tix should be easy to get from a scalper at the very least.
EDIT: there should be a good number of Murray State "fans" around though so that could make things a little more difficult. Murray is about 4 hrs west of Louisville.
Has anyone received official MU email response about ticket requests yet? I want to know if I was able to get a ticket from them before committing to traveling.
don't go out on 4th street live. Its just a bunch of chain bars. take a cab over to Bardstown street way better bar hoping
BYO moonshine.
There isn't a good place to go. Get in, watch, cheer, celebrate, leave.
Young MU alum hoping to go to the game on Saturday (if (big if) we make it that far). How have your experiences been in getting tickets? Is it tough? Any chance I can get them through MU? On the street?

2012 NCAA Division I
Men's Basketball Championship
Ticket Information: Louisville
Marquette has been selected to play against BYU/Iona in the second round of the 2012 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship in Louisville, Ky.
How do I get tickets? Tickets were made available through a presale to season ticket holders, student "Fanatics" ticket holders, Blue & Gold Fund donors and Marquette University donors at $500 or above for the current fiscal year.
If you did not request tickets through the presale, you may call the ticket office at (414) 288-4668 to add your name to a waiting list. Requests will ONLY be accepted from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday, March 12 and you will be notified via email by Noon CT Tuesday if we can process and fulfill your order. Waiting list requests will be fulfilled in order of priority points and giving history. The maximum number of tickets that can be requested is four.
I already have tickets. Now what do I do? If you requested tickets through the presale, your credit card will be charged $81 (lower level) or $60 (upper level) per ticket for the Marquette session on Thursday. Only the individual whose name is on the account, or the spouse, can pick up the tickets at the site. You must have a valid photo ID when picking up the tickets. You will only receive Saturday tickets if Marquette advances to play on Saturday. If Marquette advances, you will automatically be charged another $81/60 per ticket for the game against Murray State/Colorado State.
Can I change the name at will call on my tickets? There are no refunds, exchanges or substitutions on any NCAA tournament tickets.
Where do I pick up my tickets? At the Marquette will call location (TBD). You must have a valid photo ID when picking up the tickets. You will receive an email to confirm location of will call by Wednesday.
If you have further questions, please contact the ticket office at 414-288-4668.

That'll be F*ckin. He's changin' his regular Ice Mountain route.
Anyone else going to roll the dice and book airline tickets to Phoenix? Thinking of doing it tomorrow.

Word of advice... Lock up your tickets ASAP for Saturday if you're not going through the MU ticket office. MU plays a separate session than UK on Thursday, but in the same session Saturday. So you might be competing with two other "home" teams' fans for Sat tix.
The only thing in Kentucky that sells faster than tickets to NCAA tourney games 75 miles away is unregistered Sudafed at a pharmacy 150 miles away.

Not booking flights yet, but I'll be going if they make it.

put my name in Que for sweet 16 tickets this am..., trying to change my flight home as we speak. Should be able to extend stay long enough, but then, do I try to book New Orleans?

Staying at the Hyatt downtown and scalping tix.

Bastard. Quiet the quick drive from your new digs.
If anyone is thinking of making the trip and doesn't have tickets... the market is probably going to be a bloodbath and very plentiful for our session. The Cardinals are playing at the same time as the day session... that's why all the Louisville fans are coming on our boards to unload their lowers.
Tickets will be very difficult for the UK night session as well as Saturday's though.
Hopefully we get a lot of blue and gold in the Yum.
Your chances of landing tickets on Sat will rise exponentially if you're wearing seersucker.
Uppers in the corners can be obtained on Stubhub for $40 and below for our session on Thursday, well below what I believe is the $60 face value.
That all being said, I have two extras in the MU allotment... every year I go to the tournament, they are always excellent side-court lowers. Face is $81 per ticket if you are interested...you can't find side-court lowers for that price on stubhub or anywhere, and you will be with all the MU fans. PM me.
Marquette fans only of course as my other tickets will be right next to you.
