BYU is 50 in kenpom .. Iona is 56.
If we win, we play the winner of Murray State (#45) / Colo State (75)
Wow .. so we have to beat, at best, a 50 and a 45. Looking at just that, that's fantastic.
TIME WILL BE TBA, as usual
West bracket .. goes to Phoenix in 2nd weekend. Florida/Virginia .. Mizzu / Norfolk St.
what time?

Though it was weird that there was a first-round match-up for the 14 seed. Has that ever happened before?
Like our draw.
can't really hope for a much better draw. Mu-Memphis elite 8 matchup? thats how my brackets playing out right now.
MU is 3 seed
Marquette is the 3-seed in the NCAA West regional. The Golden Eagles will play Iona Thursday in Louisville.

+1, Sweet 16 is right there if you just take care of business.
Apparently Enlund didn't get the memo we are playing a play-in-game.
Ive never been happier with a draw. Of course, that means nothing

THIS.
And nice icon.
Topper, I realize it's your prerogative, but what happened to one thread about the selection show?
Iona / BYU // Murray State / Colo State .. sounds like 4 teams we've played during cupcake season in Decembers past.
Until someone tells me those teams have 7 footer NBA players .. seems like a very favorable draw.

That thread is for all the bracket talk for all the other teams. Now we have a game thread about MU's path.
I was so happy last year when I saw our draw. And the year before and the year before.
I just don't care any more. Watching Selection Sunday is still so anxious but I don't even know why any more
Iona is 1st in both ppg and apg and 2nd in field goal % :o
Have they ever given 14 seeds to at-large's before? They must have felt that the bubble was so weak that the 18th-21st best conference champions were better than any of the final at large/bubble teams.
Iona can score the ball. I think we got a tough first round match up in terms of facing a 14 seed, but everything beyond is favorable.
We avoid UK, UNC, KU and OSU who have beast inside presence
Does Ainge or Federer still play for BYU or that dude who had sexual relations under the bleachers?

Yeah Davies is still on their team.
It beats having to go to Northern California to play Washington.
Have to take advantage of these lovely circumstances.
Next year when some perceive that we always get screwed, bring bank this thread.
I was trying to justify a 4 seed in my head and thinking it was ok. Flipping spots with Ville and playing NM in the 3rd rd would have been tough!

Don't jinx it!
.
MU was ranked #10 by committee, meaning they were the second #3 seed.

Well I'm in Northern California so speak for yourself on that
Seeing as tho we are in a pod where kentucky is and uconn, im going to say we will be the early games on thursday. My guess would be the 2 pm game or whatever time the first game ends. I would bet this because kentucky is the #1 overall and most people will want to watch them play, meaning they will get the night cap.
Let's make this thread simple. What time do we play on Thursday?

In thinking about this, the schedule that seems most logical, is UCONN/Iowa State and Murray St/ Colorado State in the afternoon session, and UK/#16 and MU vs. Play in in the evening session. This meetst he NCAAs request to not have play in winners play in after noon sessions, and also puts fans in the seats for the afternoon session with Murray State.
